Help! I already have a Yahoo account for years. Now what do I do to complete the transition? Did Yahoo create a new different abc@yahoo.com account and password? Or a abc@cox.net account? I don't see any information for users with TWO yahoo accounts. I can't log in! Does it matter if server settings are both POP or IMAP or mixed? for this transition. Need some detailed instructions. I made a cox internet package order for Fiber250M+ pano wifi + complete care via coxcablespecial.com and I got my order confirmation email including all the package details and scheduled installation date. Then after the internet has been installed in my home, I made cox account and found out my internet package didn't include complete care. I contacted Cox customer services many times, went to cox store in person and they kept denying , my package didn't include the complete care and I need to pay for it if I want to add onto my account. I showed them my order confirmation email and they kept denying it's not in their system. I tried to call to the number from coxcablespecial.com 855-775-4442 and they hanged up on me few times, and the agent even asked me to give my credit card information (even cox didn't have any of my credit card info yet to cross verification) asked me all personal info including DOB and then suddenly asked me to give my credit/debit card info, which is so weird. After trying to contact every customer services as much as I could, they still deny to add the complete care into my package. Even when I made the order, professional installation is free and now after they installed, there is 60$ relocation of router fees showing up in my bill. I said this is my first time installation, how can there be " Relocation of router " since it's first time set up. And they kept saying, I need to pay anyhow, no matter it makes sense or not. This is very frustation and I feel like I am being cheated so badly and can't do anything about it. I am also very exhausted and already get sick of spending soo much time on trying to contact Cox about it. We have Cox with unlimited data in the N Phoenix Area. Up until about three weeks ago we were very happy with the service. We had the occasional outage, nothing consistent like the outages we have been experiencing the last three weeks. We have had multiple daily network outages for varying time periods for three consecutive weeks. It can be down anywhere from 20 minutes to 12 hours. The messages we see in the Cox app and from the text alerts have become more and more vague, now with no ETA's on when service will be up. The most recent reading "we're sorry this complex network issue is taking longer than expected to resolve. Rest assured, a dedicated team is actively working to restore consistent service. We apologize again for the inconvenience and will continue to provide daily text updates." Text Message These outages are happened over a very long period of time for such an essential service.Your website message has not changed over several days of outages. I am fortunate to have a very good work from home job that relies on that stable internet connection Cox is supposed to be providing according to our agreement. My employer can't work around these outages forever, and that puts my employment in jeopardy. I understand that Cox is not liable for my lost wages, however I'm sure you can see my point of view in being unhappy with a paid service we are only getting access to half of the time. The lack of transparency in Cox communications for the service outages in our area is very disconcerting. I would like to see if I can get an update on the time frame for the repairs or resolution that's being implemented to resolve the issue.sidandhodr6 months agoNew Contributor464Views0likes1CommentYahoo email in two Mac OS mail accounts

Has anyone ever dealt with Tejaswini? The only response I received were very generic. This person did not answer any of my questions directly and answered with wrong statements. The person said that I was informed about the charge by the tech? Really? I didn’t know that employees are compulsive liars at this company! I signed up for the internet service. When we tried to set it up I called and informed the employee that the internet isn’t working. The tech came out and fixed it since something has to be adjusted on the outside connections. On my bill I saw a $100 charge for an installation fee. This is such a scam. Nowhere did I sign or agree to anything. The employee at the phone or the tech did not disclose anything either! Cox is the worst provider ever and a scam! I have been able to successfully connect to a mobile hotspot for awhile now, but, over the past few days, I have not been able to connect to it. The network, "Cox WiFi," still appears on the list of available networks. It also has three bars, indicating that there is a strong signal. Whenever I click on it to connect, it does not connect. The "waiting wheel" continues to spin. I have tried "forgetting the network," connecting multiple devices to the network, and restarting all devices before trying to connect to the network again, but I have not been successful. I would greatly appreciate any troubleshooting tips, or for the hotspot to be fixed. Thank you!Meganpepi6 months agoNew Contributor340Views0likes2CommentsBlinking Yellow & Green Light
When we first got this wifi modem and tried to hook it up ourselves it didn’t work. So then we had to pay $75 for a technician to come out when we obviously tried to do it on our own! These crappy modems you guys provide aren’t built to set up on your own! I have now had this wifi for two weeks, not even an entire month and it keeps going out! One minute it’s flashing a yellow light and then 5-10 minutes later it’s flashing a green light! Customer service is horrible because all they do is troubleshoot and if that doesn’t work, a technician has to come out and now we have to pay another $75. So this is strike #2, if another issue arises we will definitely be getting a different WiFi provider because this is absolutely the worse experience we have ever had with WiFi!hollyd_6 months agoNew Contributor4KViews0likes3CommentsYahoo! email charges
So I discover that Cox is forcing its email users to go to Yahoo!, but it's a bad deal. My main gripe is that Yahoo! wants to charge $5/mo for a basic service like email forwarding. This really sucks. Also, getting MS Outlook to work with Yahoo! has been a confusing process. I got it to work, but....geeeesh! I am tiring of Cox. Its ISP has become unreliable as of late. Who needs cable anymore? The only real difficulty is telling everyone who contacts me by email of a new email address. For the past 3 months there has been constant interruptions in service. Today being the longest outage for a minimum of 10 + hours. This is simply unacceptable service. I've got a Motorola MB8600 and have been having some trouble with my internet connection. I found a few forum posts for this modem and other Motorola modems saying that port 8080 should allow you to view a spectrum analyzer page so I went to 192.168.100.1:8080 and the page wouldn't respond. I thought that odd, so I did an nmap scan of my modem and found that port 8080 is filtered: Port 53 (DNS) responds to ping, port 80 (HTTP) works in my browsers, port 443 (HTTPS) works in my browsers, but port 8080 (HTTP Alt) just times out: Why is this? Does anyone know why Cox is blocking customers from accessing a feature on the modems they checked were compatible with Cox Internet, purchased, and and set up? --- The whole reason I want to get at the Spectrum Analyzer page is to troubleshoot an issue I've been having with my internet speeds (should be 500/50) and reliability: As you can see by the speed tests above, I've been getting much lower download speed than I should except March 26 at 7:41 which was immediately after a modem reboot, but you can see how long that lasted... I've already done the usual troubleshooting... Reboot your router (in this case, power cycling my UniFi UDM Pro SE and my UniFi U6 Lite AP) Reboot your Modem Wait for all the lights to come back on Check 192.168.100.1 to ensure the modem has negotiated all the channels properly and is happy with your connection Use Cox SmartHelp (repeating steps 1-3) Have Cox SmartHelp "send a signal to reset your Modem" (repeating step 2 since it's not a reprovision) Chat for an hour with a Cox support person who insists the reboot is actually a reprovision and the only way to help now is to have a Cox tech come out and see what's going on There's more to do past step 7, but that would involve doing a factory reset on my modem and checking the signal analyzer page. I've seen some reports that if you time it exactly right, you'll be able to pull up the page before Cox's configuration profile blocks it (Comcast does a similar thing but with ports 80, 8080, and 443)d3xbot6 months agoNew Contributor II269Views0likes5CommentsCOX INTERNET PROBLEMATIC

For the last year, my internet intermittently drops or grinds to a sluggish pace. I even bought another Arris sb8200 to see if first one was bad. I have had Cox out to my house at least 6 times in last year to investigate but not one tech can "find the problem" but they tinker with things every time they come. Sometimes it goes out in the morning before work, sometimes midday, sometimes at night. Happens when I am the only one home working or when whole family is home working, streaming, gaming. I am about to lose my mind over this. I have had Cox for almost 15 years and no issues until about a year ago. All the equipment and plan I have I've had for more than a year so to me, it can't be the equipment, and I have the fastest plan. So all signs point to the problem being on Cox's end. But they have checked the street, the outside of the house, the inside of the house, with no solution. If anyone has a suggestion I am all ears. The only thing I don't want to do is get the Panoramic Wifi modem if at all possible.
