My email account was NOT transferred to Yahoo

My Cox email Account was apparently not transferred to Yahoo so I can’t Log Into Yahoo to complete my transition as instructed. Yahoo says that my cox.net Account does not exist in their system. My wife is the Account Owner but her email Account was terminated a few months ago when she quit using her email due to a chronic health condition. So that might be why MY Account never made it to Yahoo. How can I get MY email account transferred to Yahoo so that I can log into Yahoo to complete the transition. I am fearful tha Cox at some point will terminate their Servers and I will have a disaster on my hands. I have been a Cox Customer since they procured my previous provider 37 years ago.
