FoxNews Watch stopped working on Cox Internet
Until recently, I was able to bring up the FoxNews app on my mobile device and click watch. Other than some minor issues with the federated SSO, it worked fine and I could stream FoxNews. Now, I can't even start a stream. Nothing. I just get the spinning status in the app. The app does not even switch to the video streaming page. I know the app works because I can move my wifi connection to a mobile phone and use my mobile carrier, which happens to be Cox Mobile, and the stream starts. It also works on my Verizon mobile I use for work. I tested it on both. I switch back to my wifi and it does not work. I have no other issues with streaming on my wifi. The smart TV works, my ipad streams Prime and Max perfectly. The only thing not streaming is FoxNews. Is anyone else having a problem streaming FoxNews over Cox Internet? The only other thing that has changed is my cable modem. Several months back I swapped out the Cox provided Cisco modem that included a phone line for an Arris Surfboard which has been working well. I moved off the land line to a Cox Mobile and loving it by the way. I honestly don't recall if the FoxNews Watch feature stopped working when I made that switch or understand wny a cable modem would be the culprit. This feels like an issue between Cox and Fox. Something is not connecting through a complex maze of network devices serving internet traffic but it does work on Cox Mobile. Weird but not completely surprising. My guess the the Cox Internet is a much older and different set of infrastructure and there might be some issues that Cox Mobile use don't experience. I can say over the last three months or so, there have been Internet service disruptions but things have been relatively stable recently. For a while, NFL football was flat out immpossible to use but has improved to "annoying" to watch. Not quite the quality streaming experience I am used to from Prime video. Cox Internet servcie distruptions were common for a while, espeically off hours on weekends, but things are back to normal for about the last month or so. I work from home and rely on Cox Internet for work, that part has been nearly rock solid. Just a hicup a couple times a year and I am not complaining about that at all. Multiple times I have been told that there is an option to get your CHAT transcript emailed to you when you end the chat. This still is not available and I want to know why it’s been several years and several people have posted and other users have told me that they have the same problem so I’m sure COX is aware and chooses not to have a CHAT transcript so they cannot be held accountable. I am trying to login to the wifi app. Used to work...now cannot even get to the "sign-in screen". I launch app and as soon as i see the sign-in screen, I get error message saying security error 16. I uninstall the app , reinstall...no change I can login to the account app, but that does not give me access to the router for doing testing and restarting the router when it goes down again. I tried the online chat...that got nowhere. Had to bail out after 30 minutes of chit chat I tried calling and although the woman was very cheerful and pleasant, she could not help. (after 45 minutes). She said reset password. I said I cannot even get to point of entering user id, never mind password. I change password...same thing...access denied, error 16 ...call cox for help...been there...done that I am trying to access with a Samsung s24 phone with latest app. I used to be able to get in a month or so ago. I have Norton 360 for security. I turned it off to see if it was blocking access...nope Any thoughts or help?? Contacted cox but nothing has been done. Get error “experiencing technical difficulties. Try again later” endlessly. This only happens with both cox app and cox wifi app (cox wifi app stopped working after tech support resetted my account so now it also no longer lets me log in). Original cox app has been going on for 1-2 years no. I purchased Fox Nation app from Cox yesterday specifically to watch The Saints series. Tried to watch episode 1 on Joan of Arc. There is no Audio for the show. Tried everything I can think of but no success. All other programs I’ve tried on Fox Nation work fine. Seems to be just this one program. Perhaps a corrupt audio file??? Cox support no help. Cox Panoramic wifi app fail
So I am having issue with WiFi app shows everything but my wifi users. I chat with 3 agents and neither one understood what I ment. All I wanna do is utilize the bedtime timer for my kids and we'll let's just say no wifi for anyone because I unplugged the darn thing no wifi til I can gain access on app. Assist please.
