not receiving verification code emails since migration to yahoo
This is a follow up to a prior discussion: Not receiving verification code emails new Yahoo mail | Cox Community I called yahoo support, and they refused to acknowledge that this problem exists and refuse to report this issue to the support team for yahoo mail. Compounding this issue is a recent change made by Facebook if using incognito mode (Chrome) or inprivate mode (Edge), that will sent a verification code to the email address for the Facebook account before a person can log in. In my case, I have an old account that only has the single cox.net email, and no alternative means for verification, and Facebook doesn't provide support or any means to change the email address without being able to send a verification email to the now broken cox.net email address, which no longer works due to the migration to yahoo mail sever. Repeating my post from the prior discussion, reddit is an example of the problem. Since I'm receiving normal emails from reddit, I tried to do a password reset, which is similar to a verification email and that failed, but I continue to receive normal emails from reddit. By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Over the past 90 days I have had a 5+ day outage of fiber and a 8 hr outage with no communication. Today 8-7-24 I had a scheduled appointment between 8-10 am for a significant project. We are in AZ summer so cox said it must be in the am. Cox came out prior and reviewed the effort, we then scheduled an appt and ensured in the notes the correct supplies would be on the truck so the technicians can do the job. Received confirmation of the appt 24 hrs in front and then on the day of the appt received another notice of the confirmed appt. At 10:30 phone customer service and after 25 minutes on the phone they send me over to a dispatcher and I need to start at ground zero with them. They acknowledge there was an appt scheduled and not sure why no one showed up or called. The dispatcher inform me they sent an email to End to Ennd ( cox third party contractor) and that someone will be back to me in 30 minutes. It has been an hr and no call. I also took the day off. I have been a loyal customer for over 23 yrs and pay a boat load for TV, Internet and can not even get a response. Having issues viewing wifi details in the app. I can’t access profiles when clicking on them, gives me an error. I really would like to be able to change my password for my wifi but can’t. I have the Cox Panoramic wifi modem. I’ve signed out of the apps, deleted and reinstalled apps, signed in again and nothing is working. Support is useless and can’t answer my questions or fix my issue. I click on the Wifi details on the app, and nothing happens. Hey Cox, have you fixed the issue Paramount + yet? The other threads started about this issue have been locked. That’s an interesting way to cut down the number of complaints. We just signed up for Paramount + and it doesn’t work very well. Constantly hangs up and crashes. Before you send condescending emails about getting a new box which is not always the fix. But all other apps, Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, Max, etc all work fine. I have removed the app and reinstalled, still the same worthless / unusable app. Please fix, as much as we pay for your services plus streaming I expect everything to work.
