Since the transition to Yahoo mail yesterday, I can receive emails on my iPhone, but I cannot send.
I get a message saying that the username or password for the SMTP is incorrect. I tried changing the password to the new yahoo password, that did not work either. Can you help?Msgdiaz720 hours agoNew Contributor1.4KViews0likes10CommentsWebmail URL bouncing back and forth
It's been years since I last attempted to access my Cox webmail, but I've been attempting to do so for about a month and the only thing that happens is a URL that keeps bouncing between two sites: https://myemail.cox.net/appsuite/ AND https://login.cox.com/app/ccires_webmail_1/exk1jc8we55WKYL0n0h8/sso/saml?..... (there's about 200-300 more characters attached to this URL) Regardless of the browser, it'll bounce between these two until I finally get an error. Tried phone support, but they weren't able to understand the issue well enough to address it. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.FGarvin2 days agoNew Contributor18Views0likes1CommentStopping free McAfee Antivirus?
I just got an email about Cox stopping the free McAfee Antivirus that I have had for decades with Cox. I would have thought that having a secure network relatively safe from malware was a benefit to Cox. Am I mistaken about that?Araxidis14 days agoNew Contributor832Views0likes8CommentsNot receiving verification code emails new Yahoo mail
After transitioning to yahoo mail, Social security.gov verification emails are not received on the web nor my desktop app. Yahoo tech blamed the government, while I think the SSA probably could tell the .cox was funneled into a yahoo or something. It also happened I didn't receive an employers verification code, so not a single sender. It was all smooth when it was only cox.net. Any help figuring this out would be great, I have seen other threads on the web about this exact issue but no resolution yet.Mitchella15 days agoNew Contributor II499Views2likes13CommentsAccess not supported in panoramic wifi app
Good evening, I hope that someone can help. We had fiber installed about 3 weeks to a month ago. With that they also installed a new modem(not needed, but ok) it's a CGM4140COM. Prior to this we were able to access our wifi settings and alerts on the panoramic wifi app. Since this was installed all we get is an "Access not supported " message when we try to get in. So we are currently stuck with the default wifi name and password, and can't make any changes. We have tried chat support numerous times and they cannot get in to change our wifi either, and none of their troubleshooting has been productive. We are planning to call also and see if a live tech can be of any assistance. But wanted to check if anyone has anything else to try, or another clue. Thank you!vicrispo15 days agoNew Contributor94Views1like5CommentsCharged for Netflix by Netflix and Cox
From November 18th 2022 to present each month I've been paying Netflix. I also have been getting charged from Cox. I called and they gave me two months credit for something that I never used sense November of 2022. The first girl told me they were going to give me a credit of $419 that was the total and someone would call me back within 72 hours. No one ever called. It's July 9th now and I called back and the first person said that I was only going to get it 2-month credit. Switched me to their supervisor he said I could get 271. He said that was his limit. He then switched me to his supervisor and she said I was only going to get the last 2 months. I will be switching services as soon as I check out my options. I will also be reporting this to the better business bureau.lucky210817 days agoNew Contributor36Views0likes1CommentYahoo Mail = bigger discount?
I'm curious if Cox is planning to slash their prices now that they've ditched their email servers and support, leaving their customers to fend off spam and ads like they're starring in their own inbox horror movie. Sure, there's a $1.99 upgrade to Yahoo+ per account, but if you've got multiple accounts, it can add up faster than a caffeinated squirrel on a sugar high. Looks like Cox is winning big time with this move, but what about the rest of us? And no, I don't want a mobile phone. I'm just trying to get my emails without needing a degree in spam warfare!Hazardinc21 days agoNew Contributor106Views4likes2CommentsHow to Use Cox e-mail Transitioned to Yahoo via Outlook ...
Just learned the details on how to do this - the instructions in e-mails we are getting are insufficient. Setting up yahoo account via link will only get you to the browser-based e-mail platform. This is required as the first step. Once this step is done, use these setting to set up Yahoo server in Outlook: POP access settings and instructions for Yahoo Mail | Yahoo Help - SLN4724 Old passwords will work using web-based Yahoo platform, but they will not work using outlook! New password is required to link Yahoo platform with Outlook - this is done this way: Open Yahoo page, and under Top Right-side point to You name letter next to e-mail icon and select Account - Overview Select Security - top 3rd from the left side. In the middle on the right side select: Generate and manage app passwords. Under App name enter Outlook. Yahoo will generate loooong password - Copy save it, as this will be the only time you will see it!! Paste this new password to Server Settings inside Outlook. This will link the outlook with Yahoo ... I hope this helps - it took me one hour with designated Yahoo help for Cox transition - 1-866-562-7250 Thyer are very knowledgeable and patient!SolvedVoytek28 days agoNew Contributor II7.7KViews8likes16Comments
