Webmail: "Unexpected Internal Error" - Try Again!
When I try to access my Cox e-mail using the Webmail link (myemail.cox.net), I get the following error with a big red bar: "There Was an Unexpected Internal Error. Please Try Again". But, I cant ry 100 times and it still won't work. It may work several hours later. Used to happen once in a while, but now all the time. I tried calling Cox Customer Service -but they were clueless. Been going round and round with various "techs" and nothing is working. After getting a new (to me) router, I set it up with split 2.4G/5G SSIDs and everything was working as intended. However, after a Cox tech came to the house to troubleshoot a flaky connection, the Cox WiFi app stopped working. He told me I probably needed to update it; this did not help. I can see the connections but can't make any changes. So I tried the old-school way of logging directly into the modem via 192.168.0.1. After have to hard-reset the modem due to a changed admin password, I finally got in today. However, almost all of the current WiFi settings are completely locked out, claiming that I need to use either wifi.cox.com or the app. I sent this via the tech support email, and here's the response: Hello, I can certainly understand your concern with having to use an app for your Wi-Fi settings and we do appreciate your feedback in regards to this concern. At this time, you must use the panoramic Wi-Fi app for those features when dealing with a panoramic Wi-Fi gateway (modem + router). I am truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Looking back in the Forum, this seems to be a problem that pops up with FOX News Avery so often. For the past 2 months when I put Contour TV to Fox News on my browser, the sound is on then cuts off after a couple seconds. It does not do this for ANY other channel. It seems very strange. I watched Max just fine on Wednesday, on Thursday I went to watch and had to re-sign into the Max app. I chose "sign-in with provider" and chose Cox. Logged in using my main email that the billing is attached to. Just keep getting an error that Max cannot confirm or connect to Cox. It's now Sunday and same. Cox claims they are perfect and there are no issues. I've tried it with my Firestick on my TV, the app on my phone, the website on my computer... Nothing works. Cox Customer reps Should Be Trained before Supporting Paid Support
On 6/16/23 Montrice called for Cox responding to ticket CUI000014430040. She said they found 6.64GB in the trash folder. When I looked on my webmail, it was empty. She pointed out that the Trash has sub-folders which contained the 6.64GB of data. I told her I had purchased the Cox Customer Care because regular support could not remote into my computer to find the problem. After contacting six(6) Cox Customer rep with three(3) of them logging into my computer, none of them knew about the Trash sub-folders! From 6/9/23 to 6/16/23 I talked to ten(10) support people with three(3) were complete incompetent, not one could fix the problem or knew about the Trash sub-folders. Three of them logged into my computer and watched me delete every webmail folder. They said that it told 24 hour for the mail quota to update and that way it didn't show any change with all folder deleted. Anyone having trouble Streaming SECN+ through ESPN app?
Recently started having trouble streaming SECN + games through ESPN app. Other games stream fine. It is only the SECN+ games that spin for 5-10 seconds then stops. No error message. Midnight interruption in Disney+
We watch movies on Disney+ late at night and every night I get a "no internet" message exactly at midnight. If I bail out of the app at 11:59, and wait a minute or two, I can get back in with no further interruption, but otherwise I often have to restart the cable box. Is this a known issue? I did chat, and the agent said there was no way to fix it without talking to them when the problem was occurring ((i.e., midnight). When I attempt to register for online access I get the following message: "We're sorry, but it appears that the Cox.com account that you logged in with is associated with a Cox Account that is no longer active or activation has not yet completed. We added internet to the service residence and removed the phone. This gave me a second account number. I am not able to establish a new account for the address as the system recognizes that I already have an account. Hello, We recently signed up for Paramount+. On one TV that uses the small guest box the streaming is wonderful. On our other TV that uses the larger host box it is unusable. The app often hangs with the spinning circle when you open it. Once you do get in and start a program we are faced with constant buffering and stalling. We have been LOYAL cox customers for over 38 years. Always paid our bill on time and the only problems we ever had was an occasional outage when it rained. Two things happen about two months ago. We had the Home Life installed (it was supposed to reduce our bill) and we were offered the "total care". We declined the total care and now we have been battling the "Sorry, there seems to be some trouble" constantly and loose our tv reception. This has been going on for TWO months. Cox sent a tech to our home and he simply came in, checked the signal, said it was good and it was the CONTOUR BOX. He took our box with all our years of DVR recordings and gave us a new box. The next day, the same problem. Now we have to wait for another tech to be scheduled because Cox cannot talk to our contour box. This was a problem I showed the tech when he took our old box. Can someone tell me straight up if this problem is being generated by the home life or declining the total care package. I have been a Cox costumer for over 10 years and not happy at all. Every time I try to link my tv provider subscription to the ESPN and NBA app it tells me that “ We are having technical difficulties and to please try again later”. I am able to link my tv provider subscription through the Safari and Google browser but that’s it . The apps for some reason is the only time I am seeing that message about the technical difficulties. I am using a iPhone 14pro, I’ve checked my software , uninstalled and reinstalled the apps, even called apple to make sure it wasn’t my phone and they ran diagnostic tests and everything passed . I even tried on my wife’s iPhone 13pro and she is getting the same message . So that’s 2 different devices using the same log in getting the same results. I seen on here that other people are getting the same message I am but only she the try to log into the Cox app but fortunately I am not having that issue with the Cox app as I am able to log in fine . I believe that it’s the Cox login portal that is causing this problem. Every time I contact Cox's customer support via chat, I always select the "email transcript" option and enter my email address. The last time I received a transcript of my chat was January 24, but I have contacted Cox many times since then and requested a transcript each time. (Yes, of course I check junk/spam folders, though my ability to receive transcripts to my inbox in the past makes it unlikely they would suddenly be categorised as spam.) Every time I chat in, I mention the failure to send transcripts, but nobody seems to know how to resolve the issue. I have even been informed that frontline agents have no avenue to report IVR/website issues to the IT team or open KPIs about customer-facing tools. There is of course also no way to report issues or provide feedback through the website itself. Is there an open issue currently being investigated regarding failure to send chat transcripts? I have this app through Cox, and it does not work correctly, and hasn't for about a year. All other apps work fine. First, it takes forever to open, then pauses and buffers and the screen freezes and goes black. The sound cuts in and out. It does this literally ever 1-2 minutes. And when it's not doing that, it's giving me an error. I don't know how to post a picture of this, I don't have a URL for the photo I took, but it says "Title Not Available. When I retry to open the app and watch, I get a black screen. I had multiple techs out last year when it was messing up, and none of them could tell me what was wrong or how to fix it. The app plays on my phone and laptop just fine, so it is a problem with the Contour box and having to stream through this device and through Cox. I'd like to know if ANYONE has a fix, because Customer Support via phone is completely useless. I can reboot my box until the cows come home and it WILL NOT fix this problem. Although the error message is sporadic, at times I had to wait several hours before I was able to sign in. If I am merely checking messages, I normally can wait.
