Multiple outages daily
In middle Georgia, specifically Centerville/ Warner Robins for the past 3-4 weeks there have been multiple outages DAILY. The app has had an alert that reads "We've identified an event that is causing inconsistent service and we apologize etc." What in the world is going on??241Views0likes5CommentsThree weeks of daily outages in N Phoenix
We have Cox with unlimited data in the N Phoenix Area. Up until about three weeks ago we were very happy with the service. We had the occasional outage, nothing consistent like the outages we have been experiencing the last three weeks. We have had multiple daily network outages for varying time periods for three consecutive weeks. It can be down anywhere from 20 minutes to 12 hours. The messages we see in the Cox app and from the text alerts have become more and more vague, now with no ETA's on when service will be up. The most recent reading "we're sorry this complex network issue is taking longer than expected to resolve. Rest assured, a dedicated team is actively working to restore consistent service. We apologize again for the inconvenience and will continue to provide daily text updates." Text Message These outages are happened over a very long period of time for such an essential service.Your website message has not changed over several days of outages. I am fortunate to have a very good work from home job that relies on that stable internet connection Cox is supposed to be providing according to our agreement. My employer can't work around these outages forever, and that puts my employment in jeopardy. I understand that Cox is not liable for my lost wages, however I'm sure you can see my point of view in being unhappy with a paid service we are only getting access to half of the time. The lack of transparency in Cox communications for the service outages in our area is very disconcerting. I would like to see if I can get an update on the time frame for the repairs or resolution that's being implemented to resolve the issue.532Views0likes1CommentFrequent Outages in AZ
For the past year I've been feeling like there have been way too many outages for the amount I'm paying a month for internet. So starting this calendar year I've been keeping track of the outages. So far in my area we've been down for 1/17, 3/11, 3/13, and 3/20. All for an estimated 6 hours per outage. On 1/17 I did talk to a live-agent who said that that outage was due to repairs that would help prevent unexpected outages. I've started to ask for live-agents every time so I can at least get some credit back to reduce my bill. Should I start looking for a different provider? Usually I'd be fine being disconnected for a little bit to read a book or go out to a cafe to study but I do live with 4 other people who are gamers, or work from home. Any help Cox?73Views0likes1CommentOutage again
Outage again in the ending an intense gaming session. Everything earned is lost. Called and got the usual bs and automated hang up. Called again to cancel service and move to ATT. Was given $28 credit but I warned them that if it happens again this week I am gone. Would you stay with a power provider that blacked out your house once or twice a week?249Views0likes1CommentInternet out all night. Now all day.
It sure what I am paying for anymore. Internet out all night. Now all day. This seems to be a once a week occurrence with no explanation and ZERO customer service. The voice mail response is downright rude that you would dare to try and speak to a human being.479Views0likes6CommentsSW Iowa.. weekly outages during business hours
We have had regular and extended area-wide outages all summer. At least weekly! They always occur during business hours and last several hours. Both my home and the company I work for have been put out. A $10 bil credit does not recompense the hundreds & thousands of dollars it costs to be without service. We can't answer phones, we can't work online. Employees are being paid to do almost nothing, clients cannot contact us in a timely fashion. It's getting ridiculous!101Views0likes1CommentWhy does our internet go out anytime it rains?
Our Cox high-speed internet cuts out every time it rains. Even in a slight drizzle it’ll slow down to the point where I can’t conduct a Zoom meeting, which is a major problem because I work from home and my employer is 2,500 miles away. Needless to say, we can’t stream our TV shows either. Is there a node or hub somewhere near us that’s not properly protected from the elements or something?429Views0likes3CommentsIssues with outages.
About 72 hrs ago, we were getting nonstop texts about outages being reported, and then resolved. However during that time, and currently, we have not been able to get our internet working. We have the new Panoramic Wifi Gateway router/modem, provided by Cox. It’s has been doing nothing but blinking orange, then blinking green in a continuous cycle. We’ve unplugged it, reset it, every troubleshooting method out there to no solution We’ve talked toCox (phone and live chat) they argue with us saying there is no outage, sent signals etc, only for them to get off the phone and we get a new text saying there is an outage in our local area. This has continued for 72 hrs. They refuse to acknowledge an outage, only to have us tied to the phone for an hour of “troubleshooting.” The earliest technician appointment is 4 days from now. Anyone dealt with similar and have an idea what to do short of going into the store, which we’re planning on doing next.281Views0likes4Comments3rd outage today, what is going on with Cox in Phoenix??
For about 8 years (2013 - 2022ish), COX was rock solid. Then forthe lastyear, there are outages several times a week. And today we've had 3 outages in about 4 hours! There's no information on what the cause is. I tried contacting Cox support (online chat) and actually had the live agent disconnect the chat on me! I wasn't being mean or disrespectful at all, I simplyaskedwhy these outages keep happening and what Cox is doing to fix the issue(s) permanently. That's when they hung up. Anyone else having similar issues? Any insight into what's going on in Phoenix? NOTE: before anyone asks, this is NOT my hardware, trust me.766Views0likes3CommentsScheduled Outage
For the first time, I received advanced notice of a scheduled outage to my service. It's on 2/27. Hooray! But 2/27 is a Monday, which is a day when I, along with most people I know, will be planning to get work done. When I was a systems programmer on a mainframe computer, we always scheduled major, planned outages for Sunday mornings from 00:00 to 08:00. Why doesn't Cox do something similar?739Views1like3Comments
