Intermitted internet all day...
Since about 8am this morning when I got up the internet has been going on and off. Usually when it goes out my webpage will say Can't access that page, then a few minutes later No internet. My Roku will say not connected. But now when it goes off, it look like it's trying to access a website because the background is white not black as usual. My Roku is acting weird, it will still display the time, when it usually doesn't when it's not connected and when I click to go to a station, it tries to go, and makes that circle where it's trying to load, then I will get a message like Paramount+ is not available for your region.... I am like huh? I have had it for years.. I am in the USA. Where usually when it loses connection a large black box pops up says NOT CONNECTED, with instructions on how to reconnect. It doesn't do that. I have called COX 5 times now, no help, they restarted it from their end, I even had the modem restart from the phone while on hold it gave me that option, and it was "unsuccessful", although the one they did was successful and here it is out again after 22 minutes. I have recycled power 6 or 7 times now. It usually remedies the situation, like I just did to get on here. But I know it will go off in a few minutes. It has a dedicated power supply. No Router or Switch. No WiFi. It is directly connected from modem to my computer. I have tried a different cable, no luck there. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. Only thing I could think of, is maybe the modem has gone bad... Was checking the modem page and noticed two things. First the Ubiquiti UCI modemis no longer on the supported list. However the page for it is still up. Probably a moot issue since you can't seem to buy it anywhere yet. The second thing I noticed was the new ARRIS / Surfboard G54. Seems it is a quad radio router with Wifi 7. Listed as "coming soon". Anyone else excited for Wi-Fi 7? We have had very low upload speeds and intermittent stalling of downloads over the past few days (7/19 - 7/21-23) in the Hampton Roads. VA area (23320 zip). Speed test results have varied from 40-220 (usually around 170) Mbps download but only0.2 - 1.5 (usually around 0.4) Mbps upload, which makes many services unusable. We are on a 250/10 plan. Using an old Arris 6141, which seems to be working... getting +7db downstream power with 36 S/N, 40-43 db upstream power. Are there known network issues in the Hampton Roads area? we have had no internet for two weeks. Cox convinced me to change out the modem/router. No change, The modem is searching for a signal that it never gets. Requested service call to inspect their property from the street to the house. Tech was told no one would be home but to test their end of it. Tech arrived, on time. and called me. Said he had to get in the house. I told him what the service call was for and what not require entry. He left and cancelled my appointment! I have been on the phone, done hours of texting and no one can tell me why he left without fulfilling the appointment. Would not answer his phone and would not call back. This is not customer service! I realize that there is a possibility that the problm is in the interior cable and once they verify that their part of it is functioning we could set up an inside appointment. For the last year Arkansas cox has been trying to find and fix the Noise in the neigborhood that is causing everyone Disconnects, we get hours or days at a time with little to no internet, for what we pay we should have great speeds and 0 issues but for a over a year now we have had nothing but problems daily and no internet when we need it. Packet loss everyday and tried new better modem and have had pole to house checked and all good. Have had a tech's out on several occasions and always get the same answer " still looking for the noise" Cox is the only internet alloud in our neighborhood. Does anyone have recommendations? Ive been having issues in Arkansas on random quick disconnects for about a month. These last from 15 seconds to a few minutes and seem to get worse in the evenings. The connection can go an hour or two with no problems then have then constantly. I have replaced my netgear cm1000 modem and asus router combo that was 4+ years old to an arris s33 and asus gt ax11000 pro router but the problem persists. Chat tech support just told me to have the modem checked even though I explained the same problem is happening on both. This issue disconnects out of games and interrupts youtubetv or any other streaming service on wired or wireless connections. Ive been a customer in the same location for several years so its easy to notice the difference. I don't feel my problem is equipment related but that is what they want to point to. I replaced the modem per another chat support conversation prior to this guy saying I need the new modem checked out that they both could have same issue. Hello, I recently just started with Cox and for some reason my modem has not been able to connect to their service. At first I was using a Netgear CM700 that would signal having the upstream and downstream just fine but would be denied connection to the internet. A tech came out and we figured maybe something went wrong with my modem since the Cox Panoramic Gateway worked just fine. He recommended getting an Arris, so I did. I got the Arris SB6190, fresh from the box and the same exact issue occurred again. I have talked with support and they said everything is activated and it should be working, yet when I go onto my account it still lists the Panoramic Gateway as my modem device and I cannot add another modem to my account. There is another tech coming to try to figure it out, but largely I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem with Cox or is this some new scummy practice by them to force people into renting their modems? Does anyone have any advice in getting the modem to work? I've tried power cycle, switching coax cables, etc. Nothing has worked as again all I get are two solid blue lights for the upstream and downstream and a solid white light for the internet.Solved2KViews0likes58CommentsForum email notifications.

This decision to totally screw up the email format that we have been using for close to 20 years and replace it with this barely functioning piece of garbage is just mind boggling. It's one thing to make adjustments and totally another to install without warning a completely new system. A system without even a hint as to how to use it and without the functions formerly available in the old version. This totally did not NEED to happen and I'm not happy that I have to inform all of my personal, financial and billing contacts of my change to another email platform. When typing an email and a correction or deletion is required the typing area rolls down out of sight making it impossible to see what you are doing. Northern VA (zip 22039): Yesterday I was finally able to get someone to respond in chat after 4 failed attempts where they just disconnect, and they said it was planned and we were notified. We were not, except for a text when internet went out Friday evening during a storm. It is Tuesday now, and still nothing. The app finally reports everything is back online, but nothing works. No form of restart will stop the yellow flashing on the router. WTF Cox, no service for 4 or 5 days and you can't even provide an update? This just started today, after a normal login this morning. When I tried to login this afternoon, after an extremely long wait (which has been par for the course since the "new & improved" webmail debuted recently)what comes up is ANOTHER login page, this one completely unfamiliar in appearance. It says "Cox Email," but does not look like a Cox page & does not recognize my username or password. Even though the URL shows as the proper Cox URL for webmail, the page says "OX Software GmbH 2023" at the bottom,the GmbH indicating a GERMAN company. I've tried clearing my cache, I've tried opening on different browsers. I keep getting sent to this other login page. My wife's Cox webmail isn't doing this, just mine. Anyone have any idea WTH is going on? This is bizarre even for Cox. And while I'm at it, I'll add my voice to the complaints about the new webmail version, which is often slow as bejeezus, no longer allows selecting multiple emails to move or delete (improving webmail shd involve REDUCING the number of clicks, not INCREASING them). Prolonged random outages increase
The continued random outages in this area are ridiculous! Over the last few months Cox internet outages have increased frequency and last for hours. This is not just referring to scheduled outages. My bill continues to increase but service remains poor. I have tried to use the resources offered on the site to fix the issues, it never works. Is there any plans to fix these problems? My internet has been on and off randomly in Arizona since Cox did overnight maintenance a couple days ago. It only happens during the day. Once the sun is down, it stops. My phone, and smart TV lose internet from the wifi, then reconnect a random amount of time later. My phone says "connected without internet" before it reconnects. Hello, I have a CAX80 that has been consistently reporting a poor downstream signal for the last month. I had a technician come out and he said everything going INTO the house was OK. I contacted Netgear and there is no warranty on this box as I bought it open-box. About 72 hrs ago, we were getting nonstop texts about outages being reported, and then resolved. However during that time, and currently, we have not been able to get our internet working. We have the new Panoramic Wifi Gateway router/modem, provided by Cox. It’s has been doing nothing but blinking orange, then blinking green in a continuous cycle. We’ve unplugged it, reset it, every troubleshooting method out there to no solution We’ve talked toCox (phone and live chat) they argue with us saying there is no outage, sent signals etc, only for them to get off the phone and we get a new text saying there is an outage in our local area. This has continued for 72 hrs. They refuse to acknowledge an outage, only to have us tied to the phone for an hour of “troubleshooting.” The earliest technician appointment is 4 days from now. When I performed the speed test on my Cox Panoramic Wifi modem through the "Cox Wifi" app it said my plan speed was still 250Mbps. It looks like they are still having problems rolling out this service. I reset my modem multiple times speaking with a Cox representative and unplugged all cables from the modem to get it to restart. Still no luck. Is anyone else having issues getting the Service speed of 500Mbps to match the plan speed of 250Mbps in the Cox Wifi App? Whenever I perform a speedtest I am able to get 300Mbps of 250Mbps, but nowhere near the 500Mbps service speed. This is standard in almost all email providers like Gmail, Outlook, etc. The new version requires you to read/open an email before you can delete it. What about the old warning to never open an email with or without an attachment unless you know the sender. Since the recent email "format" change I am unable to receive emails in a timely manner.
I am locked out of several applications/pages that require email to log in because it takes anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour for an email to arrive, which is well past the time limit most apps/sites allow for secure login. I am getting above speeds to the router, but the Wi Fi speeds coming out of the router are slow. Getting over the 1 gig speed to the router, however by using a speed test from by phone, the highest I have seen is around 250m. I'm about to just cancel it and get a better phone plan with a big Hotspot because at least then I'd be able to use it and not pay 200$ a month for nothing. I just want to know if this will ever stop. It's literally every other day it goes down for almost the entire day and they're a monopoly in my area so I can't get AT&T or anything else. In May we purchased our own equipment and returned the equipment owned by cox back to them. They took that 200$ charge and applied it to my May bill. This left me with a 54$ credit in my favor. Yet my June bill shows up and they have added that 200$ back onto my bill with the only explanation on the bill being unsecured equipment. When I questioned this in June they told me I was absolutely correct and I paid the remaining 90+$ on my bill. This month that 200$ shows up on my bill again. I call and question it and have been given every answer from missing my May bill which they applied the 200$ equipment credit too. To Just look at my Jun bill it has an explanation. But the oy explanation is that equipment charge. This has turned into a screaming mat h with the lazy account manager in Bston Rouge,LA whom seems to be inventing charges.
