4 days no service
We hadn’t issues with Cox. Until that last 3 months. Internet has been up and down. Which usually be resolved by restarting everything. However this passed Thursday it was really bad. Which led to Friday no Internet all day. We messaged and was scheduled 2 days away for a tech to come out. I was frustrated because that means I am unable to work. No phones no tv no door bells no electronics. Here we are excited and waiting for the tech and he never showed up. So the appointment was cancelled because they said we weren’t home. Then come to find out they called. Well guess what no Internet no phones. The tech never knocked on the door which he would have seen was cracked open. I contact support to then be told additional charges will apply which is a joke. That we have to pay for a tech, my bill for service/days we haven’t been able to use and we are missing work because we work home. Cox really proved to have poor service and customer service within one incident. So now 4 days with nothing working due to no internet. We have a 2 year old and teenagers. Thanks a lot Cox.Blessedfavored7 months agoNew Contributor41Views0likes1CommentI Hope Cox Provides Complete Transition Instructions
Having watched our Cox bill increase every year for nearly 20 years, I can't describe how disappointed I am they are shutting down their email service, and transitioning us to Yahoo mail. And knowing that this Yahoo email will NOT be the same as what we've had from Cox worries me as well. Although to date I've only had the one email from Cox saying I will "soon" be transitioning to Yahoo mail, it hasn't given me a date to better define "soon". It appears we'll have to pay Yahoo if we don't want ads with our email...at least, that's what I saw in one of the comments I read. (Don't know if that's true when using email clients like Outlook or Apple Mail...or only if using Yahoo webmail.) What worries me is the level of complete instructions Cox plans to provide those of us using Apple Mail. I base this concern on the number of Cox users on Apple's support forums who've been moved to Yahoo mail, and are struggling to get their email working again. One post I read contained so many instructions I have to wonder how many users will be able to successfully complete the migration? So I certainly hope Cox will be providing instructions for Mac users of Apple Mail, and iPhone/iPad users. And I hope these instructions are complete, easy to follow, and work well.OzzieMike7 months agoNew Contributor III200Views2likes1Comment- Jaycee7 months agoNew Contributor26Views0likes1Comment

Your Cox.net email will soon move to Yahoo Mail
Your Cox.net email will soon move to Yahoo Mail "The countdown has begun and your Cox email will transition to Yahoo Mail in about a month. Rest assured, knowing you'll keep using your same Cox.net email address, messages, folders, contacts and calendar!" I just got email from Cox starting with the above quote. Question: What does "Cox email will transition to Yahoo Mail in about a month .." mean? Will I get a definitive count down or date before the process triggers? Helloeveryone, After reading many concerns over connectivity and Internet Service on this forum, I am not sure if my problem is unique or just another occurrence of what others are experiencing. I'm pretty fluent with PCs, but am not network-savvy. I'm thinking this problem could be my PC, but I am thinking it's most likely the Internet Service. I have Cox 1GB service with unlimited data. I just moved across the country from Herndon, VA, where I had Verizon FIOs for years - which all my computers used to be connected to. That service is not available in my new location, Glendale, AZ, outside of Phoenix. The problem is intermittent connectivity to websites I KNOW are up and running. It happens often enough to be very disrupting to my work as well as frustrating. It seems to happen on websites I have previously visited - I don't recall it ever happening the first time I attempt to visit a website I have not visited previously. The error message from the browser is "Hmmm... can't reach this page The connection was reset." I know the websites are up and running because I can open them using Safari on my iPhone. The PC is running Windows 10. I have tried both Microsoft Edge as well as Google Chrome on the PC. Still get the same error. I tried doing an "ipconfig/dnflush", but this did not help. I even uninstalled my Antivirus software (Norton 360), but this did not help, so I re-installed it. The weird thing is that I can usually go to the same websites that failed earlier and can access them with no issue, but the problem generally comes back. Of course, I have tried rebooting both he PC and the modem/router, but this did not help. Anyone have a clue how to solve this, or at least help try to narrow down the problem??? Incidentally, I am only getting about 106 Mbps download speed, but perhaps this is because all my computers are connected via WiFi - they are not hard-wire connected to the Router. Thanks for any help or hints you might have!! DennisSolvedbtanchors7 months agoNew Contributor II297Views0likes3CommentsStreaming internet on Cox Contour box.

Worst provider- any suggestions?
I’m sure this will get deleted. But wondering if anyone has similar complaints and had ANY resolution. Today alone have spent over 8 hours in various chats and 2 hours in the phone trying to resolve our issue. One individual verified 11 people I had spoken to today to try to get the issue resolved. tech came out two days prior to fix internet issues that have been daily for the past 2 months. Still intermittent service. Advised to send another tech out- even though 48 hours prior we had someone here. we can cancel for 170 fee or continue to pay 95 dollars a month for service that does not work. Refuse to wave the cancelation fee. Tons of transfers or being hung up on- even by the “retention team”. anyone had similar issues and if so how did you fix? And if you haven’t signed up with cox…don’t. The answer is pay more even though it hasn’t worked.Ebonychantal6567 months agoNew Contributor85Views2likes1CommentOrganization Cannot Send me E-mails
Sooo.... I'm on the Board of a non-profit organization whose members candirectly send me e-mails but when the batch e-mails are sent to the entire Board, they bounce back with the error code AUP#CXSNDR. We are talking about a non-profit. Tech support is non-existent. But this means I'm missing e-mails which are supposed to be sent to the Board, and it's become a huge issue at this point. I've seen elsewhere that this is somehow supposed to resolve by me changing my password... forgive me for doubting that's the case, but also I really don't want to start messing with any of my settings if, in fact, this is something that Cox can fix better than I can. It does seem that Cox's system is simply rejecting this particular method of sending e-mail and that Cox needs to clear out that blockage. For the past year I've been feeling like there have been way too many outages for the amount I'm paying a month for internet. So starting this calendar year I've been keeping track of the outages. So far in my area we've been down for 1/17, 3/11, 3/13, and 3/20. All for an estimated 6 hours per outage. On 1/17 I did talk to a live-agent who said that that outage was due to repairs that would help prevent unexpected outages. I've started to ask for live-agents every time so I can at least get some credit back to reduce my bill. Should I start looking for a different provider? The first thing Cox did after receiving FREE federal ACP funds (taxpayer dollars) was raise our rates. Why? My service is NO better and I am not receiving any additional services. But get this—he then pretended to be a supervisor by holding his mic far away. I cranked up my hearing aids (I’ve worn them since I was 40) and still couldn’t; hear him. He said he would call me. I thought, okay, here we go. The phone rang and—gasp!—no one was there! And no one tried again. Big shocker. Yahoo Transition - Multiple Cox Email Addresses
Our family has multiple individual email addresses all under our main account, from back when Cox allowed several email addresses per account. Will the Yahoo transition move ALL of our email accounts, or just the primary owner account? This is important for many customers and hasn't been addressed in any FAQ. Location: Green Valley, AZ After five days with our internet being down, contacting tech support 12 times, my post on this site generated a response. A tech service person was scheduled for the next day and the problem (incorrect installation of hardware at the box at the street) was fixed. Our internet is back up and running. Many thanks to the site moderator who intervened and helped me The reason the outage at my house (and my neighbor’s house) went on so long is that there is a broader outage (Cox upgrade) in my area. Once the call center saw that note pop up on their screens, they refused to or couldn’t send a technician to our home despite my telling them that all my neighbors had service with 2 exceptions. Indeed, it was a problem specific to the box in front of my house. Perhaps additional training could be provided to the call center so they take an extra step to screen the area and see how many houses are without internet. However, I explained to him that we have been trying to get the phone unspended and back on since Thursday, March 7th and again on Saturday 3/9 but was unsuccessful. Despite my explanations, Shane continued to insist that the problem was due to the unpaid bill.
