Automated Message Regarding Fake Overdue Account Scam
Calls from 877-764-6129 and 833-680-2022 For the last month, almost daily, our business landline has been receiving Scam calls from an automated system claiming that our Cox account will be disrupted due to non payment. This system will allow you to dial/route your call to make a payment with a card or you could stay on the line to speak to a representative. If you hang up, within 15 minutes an individual will call back to speak with the person in charge of our accounts payable or someone that might handle such issues. When informed that our corporate office handles all accounts the scammer hangs up.953Views0likes1CommentHow do I locate the caller ID section to turn it on so that the incoming telephone number shows on the tv screen

I have the Voice/Internet Modem Brand: ARRIS Model: TM3402A Seems to work BUT with dropped calls and the modem is "HOT"... Meaning, the modem is showing up in "my wi-fi connections" BUT is unsecured. I've looked at the tools and tips for both COX wi-fi and the phone service including the Cox wi-fi app. Nothing is mentioned anywhere that I can see in the forums or online. The phone modem and my Cox Gigablast are split into two indiidual connections from coax wall connection. I only have one wall connection, so my connection options are what they are. Any insight will be greatly appreciated. LCW733Views0likes6Comments- 1.9KViews0likes47Comments

Voice Tools Call History grid scroll bar is missing
The Voice Tools webpage scroll bar will scroll the entire page, as will clicking on the screen and using the up and down arrow keys. However, the inner scroll bar previously locatedwithin the Call History grid is now missing. As a result, only the first nine entries for a sort may beviewed on the webpage. The Call History grid includes new columns added when the recentupdate to identify and eliminate or flag SPAM calls was implemented. The grid scroll bar appears to have been erroneously omitted. Voice Tools Call History may be sorted from oldest to newest to see calls from up to 120 days ago. That amount ofCall History can also be downloaded. Thisconfirms Call History data was retained, but the websiteno longer provides the means to scroll up and downto view all call entries.1.3KViews1like16Commentsno porting

Hi Las Vegas Residents: Outage issues for 6 days straight. I contact chat help and it is useless. The script is not warm it is fabricated. My grandmother has not had a phone nor internet for 6 days and she is 88 years of age. I wanted to see if anyone in the East side of Las Vegas they are experiencing the same issue. I have not found ANY response from Cox just as there is an outage. I am overwhelmed with the lack of accountability, reliability and urgency to rectify the situation. For a customer to call every single day is not reliable.564Views1like1CommentHarrassing calls.
I get daily robo calls from Comenity Bank, currently well over 100 calls. They started Nov. 19, 2022, and continue every day, including weekends. My number is on the FTC Do Not Call List, and I reported about the first 50 of these calls. The first 60-70 calls had a female voice selling their services for anyone impacted by Covid 19. Thereafter a gruff mail voice demands that I call them because they have some information that will impact me if I don't respond. I have filed civil and criminal complaints for harrassment with the Arizona AG. They have responded that they will not pursue the matter. Beside reporting to FTC on the DNC list, I have filed a formal complaint with them. I have heard nothing from the FTC. FTC rules strictly forbid these calls. I have contacted by Congressman (Ciscomani) asking what agency enforces the FTC rules. He has not responded to my request. I have blocked the numbers they use, but they just call with a new number. My phone states that I have no more room for blocked calls. Am I just doomed to have this Bank call me forever?5.8KViews0likes12CommentsIs Visual Voicemail supported on Cox Mobile?

Over the last few days I have been inundated with "You've overpaid your utility bills so press 1 if you're a sucker" robocalls. I report every one of them to Nomorobo. I have sent 5 emails regarding my Call History not working to the address in the subject line of this post (that included the required periods after cox on both sides of the @). Moderators on this Forum have told me they were received and answered. I have not received any of the answers. I did receive one phone call after requesting it in my 4th email. I have asked that the contents of the Cox responses be posted to the forum, and faxed to me, and mailed to me, and read to me over the phone so I can see what they say. I check my Spam folder frequently, and search each one for the letters "Cox" in the address or subject line. I also do this for any emails in my Inbox that I mark as spam. I do not have any spam filters set up but I also check my Trash folder to see if any Cox emails have been sent directly there. I have not blocked any domains. I have not changed whatever the default sensitivity is for spam or security or whatever. All other emails from Cox are being received, such as notices that my bill is ready to view online and reminders that my bill is due to be paid in 7 days. Emails to me from all my other email contacts are being received. Anyone else having this problem?6.6KViews0likes42CommentsCancellation Fee For Cox Care Not Cancelled . . . .
Since you locked my thread after you replied, I can only resort to posting a new thread on the topic. Yes, Cox cancelled the Complete Care the last week of August. I did not. We had modem problems all summer, and I knew Cox was going to have to return eventually, because it probably wasn't the weather, as the first Cox tech who came out stated. Very unusual for them to cancel? I would think so, and I am not paying for that $75 cancellation. I'll file a complaint with the FCC if it is not removed from the bill. The $10 care cost was even on the same bill! Also, Tiffany at Cox, unless the FCC changed their rule in the last month or so, you MUST get a modem from Cox if you have a landline phone. The modem must be a free lease, must have no monthly charge attached, and Cox can't say you have to get their modem/router and pay a monthly router fee, when you don't want a router from them. I posted my thread to see if the problem with a cancelled Cox Care has happened to anyone else. You have no business locking my thread since you either don't want any replies to it, except for your own, or because you think I was not honestly describing the situation. I assure you everything I said was true, and it's the honesty of Cox that needs to be questioned.1.5KViews1like1CommentCox Complete Care Cancellation Charge
Cox actually tried to charge $75 for cancelling Cox Complete Care when I did not cancel it! We had constant trouble with the Cox phone/internet service all summer, and I do mean constant. Day after day the modem started blinking and service was down sometimes for only a short period of time, other times for hours. A Cox tech came out when the service was not down, said there was no wiring problems and to just update the modem. He said the weather was probably causing the problems. Updated modem and still had constant problems. Had Complete Care and had no intention of cancelling it, since obviously we were going to have to get Cox back out eventually. They did come out in early September, since modem and phone did not work at all for over 24 hours. Since it was a holiday weekend, they wanted to come out 6 days later! They changed it to four days, after complaining that they should not take so long to repair a landline phone. (Why the FCC rule about having to get a modem from Cox, instead of buying your own, if Cox doesn't quickly come out and fix it?) This time they fixed the problems, both with the jack and outside wiring. Then the bill came, where they charged $75 for cancelling Cox Complete Care in late August. As stated, I did not cancel it. Either Cox is incompetent in billing, or they wanted to get their $75 for the tech visit when they couldn't get that since we had Complete Care. Called Cox and they said it would be removed from the bill and they reinstated the Cox Complete Care, which, by the way, was a $10 charge on the current bill, too! Anyone else have this happen?1.2KViews0likes0CommentsCaller claims Cox Server crashed last night - needs to reset your computer after you download Ultraviewer.net
Just received a call on a Saturday morning 10/1/2022 (ID showed: a local number in my area 203-235-9206 - which of course doesn't ring when you call it back) from a person claiming he is from Cox and alerted me that the Cox internet server crashed last night and they need to reset my computer and its modem to work properly with their network. He asked that I check my modem to see how many lights are flashing. Then he asks that I sit in front of my Windows computer and find the control key on lower left side of keyboard. He then says "Now hold down WINDOWS four-squared key and press the letter R key" (this brings-up the "Run" command box). He then wants you to type in the Run box: msconfig - run it and then look for "Services" tab. He will then ask how many programs say "stopped" (your response lets him know you are actually performing his requests - it does NOT harm your computer - as you (and he) haven't really "run" any damaging commands - YET)! Once he is confident you are actually in front of / and using your computer, he will ask you to return to the command box, delete the "msconfig" lettering most likely still residing in the box and replace it with a command to download from "www.ultraviewer.net" (setup vrsn 6.5). THIS IS WHERE THE RED FLAG OF CAUTION IS NOW FIERCELY WAVING IN FRONT OF YOUR BRAIN!!! The caller wants to take CONTROL OF YOUR COMPUTER (possibly to plant spyware, malware, etc)!!! Although I already clearly understood this was a scam (even though he tried hard to make it feel proper), I played along with his request (never really downloading the file) and I stated my virus protection software was alerting me of a possible security violation has stopped me for proceeding to this site (which McAfee did do). He asked me to ignore the alert as he is from Cox. I said I am stopping the request (which YOU SHOULD, TOO) and asked for a call-back number (he gave: 217-560-7816 and said ask for Steven Murphy) - (hmm / huh). I didnt honor such as they would then call me again, and again, and again!!!1.5KViews0likes2CommentsTrying to upgrade phone service and it wants to charge an old past due which was discharged in bankruptcy.
Need to be contacted by someone at Cox that can assist with this. We filed bankruptcy and instead of an old past due balance being discharged my current amount dure was. The problem is that when trying to upgrade our phone to a higher costing plan it tries to charge me the entire past dure amount that should have been discharged and doesn't show anywhere else in the account... it doesn't show when I go to pay my bill. When I get scam or telemarketer calls from a real number I can block them or forward them to an extra number that I never use for anything other than scam callers. They get to listen to an annoying 3 minute long voicemail message that very few stay on the phone long enough to leave a voicemail for me. But with spoofed numbers it does no good because they never call back from that same number again anyways. While I like the convenience of a landline phone, I am reaching a point of just cancelling it so I don't have to hear my phone ring 8 times a day from some scammer saying my social security number has been compromised and they are coming to arrest me unless I pay them with gift cards over the phone. It is obviously a scam, but I can't stop them from calling through because they never call from the same phone number twice. And if I call their number back it is either a number that does not exist or it is some innocent person that has no idea what I am talking about because they did not call me from that number. And nomorobo is a big flop. I have it and it catches maybe one or two scam calls per day, but about 90% of scam calls are never detected by it with its simultaneous ring. If you want people to keep paying you for your landline phone service you had better get serious about stopping spoofed numbers from calling us.1.9KViews0likes5Comments
