Every time I contact Cox's customer support via chat, I always select the "email transcript" option and enter my email address. The last time I received a transcript of my chat was January 24, but I have contacted Cox many times since then and requested a transcript each time. (Yes, of course I check junk/spam folders, though my ability to receive transcripts to my inbox in the past makes it unlikely they would suddenly be categorised as spam.) Every time I chat in, I mention the failure to send transcripts, but nobody seems to know how to resolve the issue. I have even been informed that frontline agents have no avenue to report IVR/website issues to the IT team or open KPIs about customer-facing tools. There is of course also no way to report issues or provide feedback through the website itself. Is there an open issue currently being investigated regarding failure to send chat transcripts? I have this app through Cox, and it does not work correctly, and hasn't for about a year. All other apps work fine. First, it takes forever to open, then pauses and buffers and the screen freezes and goes black. The sound cuts in and out. It does this literally ever 1-2 minutes. And when it's not doing that, it's giving me an error. I don't know how to post a picture of this, I don't have a URL for the photo I took, but it says "Title Not Available. Sorry, we're having trouble accessing that title right now. Please go back and try playing the title again. And it gives this code: 9be12b52-48ca-444b-e72d-010d7194f5b7 ERR-010." When I retry to open the app and watch, I get a black screen. I had multiple techs out last year when it was messing up, and none of them could tell me what was wrong or how to fix it. The app plays on my phone and laptop just fine, so it is a problem with the Contour box and having to stream through this device and through Cox. I'd like to know if ANYONE has a fix, because Customer Support via phone is completely useless. I can reboot my box until the cows come home and it WILL NOT fix this problem. Not sure if this will reach the required team, but here it goes. It would be great to be able to search the connected devices on the network, rather than simply browsing the list for them and having to click into each one to gain details. Searching by MAC, IP, device type, connection type (5Ghz/2.4Ghz/wired/etc.). Also, import/export feature would be great. The ability to export the device list, edit it offline and re-import the changes via csv would be helpful. If these features are already there, please advise, because I cannot find them. For over a year I've been able to watch Amazon prime video on my old non smart Magnavox tv via the contour box. Now it stopped working. The error message is, "Disconnect VPN or proxy service and try again". This tv is not connected to anything but Cox through the contour box. My pc connects to Amazon Prime Video but not the tv. I rebooted the contour box and tv. Same error message. I contacted Amazon and they were absolutely no help. The first call ended up with some guy in South Africa and the second contact, via Amazon chat, ended up in India. Anybody have any suggestions or solutions? When I look at my devices in the Cox wifi iOS app I can only see the name of the device that the app can determine. Can the app show the IP address and MAC address? It asks me to pick me profile like normal, I choose mine, then about 1/4 of the content on the screen loads, it freezes then cox exits out of the app and produces error code”APPS 04036”. I'm unable to use the Paramount Plus App within Contour on my Host cable box. I've reset my cable box several times, also refreshed it. Logged in and out of Paramount Plus several times and cleared the cable box cache with no luck. It works on my client boxes and the App also works fine as a stand along on the same smart TV. After selecting the profile in Contour on my Host box it moves to the Home screen and just sits there trying to load until it errors out, telling me to restart my cable box. This only began a few days ago. Now, a show will start for a few seconds and then I get the spinning circle and then I get this error: "HDMI Connection: There's a problem with the connection to your TV. Regular live programming and other apps all work fine, so I highly doubt that there's any issue with the connection between the Contour box and the TV and even if there were, I also doubt the Prime Video app has that level of hardware access to the Contour box to detect it. Then, when trying to log into the Panoramic Wifi app, it says that I am not the Primary User. The Cox Representative said everything looks fine on their end and confirmed that my User ID is the same one I've always had. They submitted a ticket to help find out what is going on. Perhaps the Apps Forum would be appropriate for this post. I'm getting lots of notifications on the Forum page (enumerated red circles) about contributor updates to posts from 1-2 years ago. I'll curiously click and read but there will be no recent replies because a moderator had previously locked the post. The only consistency in these notifications is a moderator...I'm assuming...had recently deleted a contributor's reply because each contains the following statement after a reply: This reply was deleted. Even a moderator (JonathanJ) had a reply deleted. Naughty? I'm assuming moderators are catching up on a backlog of replies having been previously flagged as either abusive or spam by other contributors. This is fine but I have 2 suggestions: 1. Turn off these notifications because if moderators are only performing maintenance within the Forum, we don't need to know you're deleting contributor replies. 2. Expound on your default message because it begs the question of who deleted the post and why. Instead of "This reply was deleted," use "This reply was deleted because it violates the Usage Guidelines of the Cox Support Forum." I just upgrade my device to a Contour II device in order to play videos through the Apps. I have an Amazon Prime account and am able to stream videos on my Laptop and also through Comcast at my summer home. I am able to log into my Amazon Prime account and my home screen comes up. The Cox wifi app allows users to modify the wifi names, passwords, etc. for their modem/router. But it is almost impossible to see the icon that takes you to that feature. This just started today, thumbnails will not load on the Contour2 app on both my iPhone and iPad while I’m on my home wifi. When I use the cellular data from my phone, including having my iPad use the phone as a hotspot, the thumbnails load on the Contour app. All other streaming apps (ie Netflix and Amazon Prime) work correctly. I can stream video with the Contour app, it’s just the thumbnails that won’t load. I’ve closed the app and re-opened it, even restarted the devices. It’s not loading correctly on home wifi.
