We are also having the same problems with the cloud DVR. Sound cuts out, picture freezes, hard to make it go forward, extremely frustrating and occurs more frequently at night time. Oscars were terrible to play. The next day during the day time it worked fine but too late to see who wins what. Constantly having issues. Freeze, no sound, can't fast forward. I have gigablast, wireless, newest modem, pods bill over 380 per month. What am I paying for? I have had 5 technician out in the last year for issues. Cox just wants more money, don't actually fix anything. Don't think they have upgraded any fiber optics or equipment in our area in over a decade. So tired of paying for service that doesn't work. 15 second or 30 second fast-forward button
.15 second or 30 second fast-forward button It is hard to believe that with sophistication like a voice remote control there is no way you can fast forward a DVR show 15 seconds or 30 seconds. Seems to me like Cox sold out to some commercial media companies or a conglomeration of them to make sure we have to watch commercials even as we fast forward through them. Because fast forwarding is the only way we can get through 4or5 minutes worth of commercials when you're trying to watch a show. My regular TV watching is getting pretty bad. And this is on top of the zDVR issues not being able to be played back, Why can’t Cox fix this issue? Why is it so hard to report issues. Why do they say it is not an issue when there are so many of us complaining. Cox is being paid well for its services. Cloud DVR recordings freeze constantly
We had a Cox DVR box and were told it was failing and we should switch to Cox Cloud DVR We did, nothing but problems - recordings freeze for minutes or seconds during playback or fast forward, sound goes away while still playing - every evening, various recordings We have reset the boxes, nothing seems to help Internet speed (Cox Gigablast) shows 900 mbps consistency during the problems, so doubt it is bandwidth Any ideas on who to call or things to try? I have the same problem as so many others do with the Cox DVR. Particularly in the evening, it stops there’s no audio it starts again and again it’s virtually impossible to use. Why is this not addressed because I am seeing some comments that go back literally years. I was told via a forum moderator that I could view "On Demand" if I was having problems with the DVR playback feature. This doesn't work as I was trying to watch the Phoenix Suns games.
