Outage Every Week

Cox is the only internet provider available in my area so unfortunately I can not switch, but every week I am experiencing an outage with my internet. I still have to pay $70 a month for inconsistent internet services. This is so frustrating and it’s hard to get in contact with an agent or representative to help me. I can not wait to move so I can get rid of their services altogether.

Are they declared outages? If so, contact Cox for a credit. If not, did you want to troubleshoot? If so, tell us about your network and how it's configured. What model modem/router? How does the coax get from  the pole/street to the room the modem is in? Does the modem's light change?

Yes, they are always declared outages. I believe it’s the infrastructure in my area I will have to ask my dad more about it (he used to be a tech for cox). I have the Panoramic wifi modem

See if your dad can contact dispatch or the SOC and see what is going on. Nothing really anyone here(including moderators) can do about outages. They can only see what customers can see on the outage page. You might have luck calling in and asking for CAG/Tier 2 but that is a long shot too.
