He checked for noise and there wasn't any
What time was the troublecall? Was it around 9AM? If not the noise probably wasn't occurring. My guess is it's a issue with the underground line that goes to your neighbors house. If so, it should show on your neighbors signal as well.

Pinging darkatt. Does Tier 1 still have tools to look at signal levels across the street/node? Feel bad sending people to their email if it's just going to be a wild goose chase.

Tier 1 is relegated to using a monkey script they are required to follow. They are no longer technically trained, they are customer service trained and no longer have technical expertise. Back in 2006 when I was hired, we were required to be technically savvy, but these days, they are limited to the monkey script, and nothing more. It's sad really.

I know the script is there, but I hoped some went beyond it. What about Tier 2? Do they have tools to look at DOCSIS signal levels? Wasn't Edgehealth one of them?
