What has happened to NOMOROBO?
I have used Nomorobo for years without a hitch. Now just this week it does not work. When I go to phone settings and click on Nomorobo ON it just reverts back to OFF. I'm being driven mad by calls beginning around 6:00 AM every morning. Please Help, --Dennis--1.6KViews0likes4Comments1 Ring Hang-up Calls
I am constantly (5 or more times a day) getting calls where it rings once and then nothing. The caller's number does not show up in the caller ID on my phone, but if I am watching TV I will see the number displayed on the TV screen for a moment. Does anyone have an explanation for this?1.9KViews0likes3CommentsNomorobo ~Robo Call Not working~ STIR/SHAKEN Deadline July 30, 2021
What is going on with all the Robo Calls, when NOMOROBO is activated... and has been for many years?????? I believe that our government has given phone providers a deadline of July 30, 2021 to install a WORKING robo call blocker, such as STIR?SHAKEN. So far today, on a Sunday, I have had 17 robo calls. This is ridiculous!!! More than half to almost ALL the calls in a month's time are ROBO CALLS! Does COX REALLY care about their customers? In m y case we do not have another provider available in the area.... That is truly a monopoly! Anyone else having an extreme amount of ROBO CALLS. I know my neighbors are having the same issue and we are all NOMOROBO robo call blocking feature.1.3KViews0likes2CommentsCall blocking of Spam
I have unsuccessfully tried to activate NoMoRoBo and need support. These are the steps performed: Cox->Settings NoMoRoBo->ON Established an account at NoMoRoBo as directed. Unable to Activate in Settings Simultaneous Ring->On Unable to Save. The Save button is grayed out. How do I save the setting? On a related issue, I have seen comments on the NoMORoBo interactions, and its failure to block spam. There are the issues: The Text message seen shows a legitimate address from a legitimate person/enterprise. To remove this phone one must do "Selective Call Blocking", I have seen it initiated as both *60 and *67. Please clarify. The Text message does not have a phone number. See selective blocking above. The Text message shows a phone number which Cox recognizes as incorrect. There should be an option to block all such calls. And to this I not that in order for a call to proceed, Cox must know the actual phone number used. Knowing this number allows communication. Not knowing this number does not allow Cox to initiate of continue the call. Therefore, Cox knows this number and should be able to take appropriate action. And, to this I add, that this is irrespective of whether the actual number is VoIP or conventional. I would like this blocking service!4.8KViews0likes6CommentsAnyone using Jolly Roger Phone Co for spammers?
Is anyone using Jolly Roger Phone Co. for spammers? It requires simultaneous ring which we now have. The concept sounds good and it even adds a measure of revenge against the spammers. I don't know if it can coexist with Nomorobo but I'm ready to give up on that because it isn't blocking anything.Solved2.5KViews0likes4CommentsToo may robocalls
Switched to Cox July 27. Since the switch, I’m getting 20+ robocalls a day. I set up nomorobo.com, but calls are still getting through. In partular, one with the calller ID that starts with V8. The rest of the ID changes, and always a different number. Message is left that he “local cops” are one the way to arrest. I’ve confirmed my number is protected, but calls still ring 5 times, before voicemail picks up. THIS DIDNT HAPPEN WITH AT&T!7.9KViews0likes2CommentsRobocalls - Cox supports them!
It is obvious Cox does not care about its customers. If they did, they would figure out how to allow customs to get Nomorobo! Does anyone know if Cox makes money on robocalls? I just switch to Cox and I am regretting it. The robocalls are relentless!!!!! I'm looking into switching back to ATT.2.9KViews0likes2CommentsRoboCalls, Spam, Telemarketing frequency increasing
In the past 3 months, our number of unwanted calls has increased by 150%. Cox solutions to address these annoying callers are anemic. And YES, I have registered at the DoNotCall website (another joke). I painfully tried the Call Blocking feature that was presented as $1 / month / line. Upon reviewing my bill, I was charged $4 / month for each of my home lines. I attempted to give it a try and quickly reached the 30 call number limit. The 30 number limit was not shared with me during my registration with Cox... Not only is the limit ridiculously low, trying to manipulate the service on a phone is a nightmare. Cox is far behind the times / technology on addressing Spam, RoboCalls, Telemarketing and Spoofing issues plaguing their customers. This is my first post to Cox, but I see that I am far from alone in my frustration with the lack of tools to block unwanted calls on my home lines. My next step will likely be to drop my home phones and use cellular phones that do address this more effectively. This has been a very successful, less expensive solution used by many of my friends and family. Cox, please listen and do something! All I get is incoming scam robocallson my Cox landline and it'sbecoming more of a nuisance than its worth. I have a cell phone and the landline is a back-up, so I'mseriously looking at dropping the Cox land line and looking at other VoIP carriers or alternatives. Any suggestions?3.6KViews0likes2Comments
