I've been getting super close to my data cap the last few months, and I've noticed that a category simply labeled "Other" is accounting for almost half of my total data usage. This month it's currently at 44% of my usage, and we only have two days left in the cycle with 1127gb used. When I read the description for this category it says "Activites that makde up a relatively small proportion of your overall usage. This also includes unrecognized traffic or activity that could not be categorized." If my math isn't wrong, that's 495.8gb of data in a category that I can't keep account of, so I don't really know what to do. Anyone else having serious problems using Cox email today? I am trying to send emails but when I go to start a new email it takes a minute until it loads and by that time the server time is out. New Orleans (MidCity/Treme)
Nearly 3 weeks of daily spotty/intermittent connection frustrations. Even downgraded my speed, thinking maybe it just couldn't handle it. Still the same daily issues. Technical support has been no help whatsoever. They cannot comprehend that it's a neighborhood issue, not an individual home. 'Check the cable connections, reboot the modem, reset the router' - always the same BS support. I have 2 separate lines at home, a personal and a business, both experience the same interruptions at the exact same time. Next door neighbors have confirmed the same interruptions at the same time. I upgraded our service today from basic to the next level, 100Mbps Go Fast. I presume it is activated because the service went down for a while. Can't see who posted last and so on. The new forum is horrible IMO and so far NO response from moderator. If things aren't better in a week I may be forced to use my time on a different forum. If I connect to the CoxWIFI hotspot on my phone, it seems fine. Can surf internet, watch a youtube video just fine. If I try and connect on my laptop, I have issues. Data Packet loss, high latency, DNS server unable to be resolved, etc. What's the point in paying for the service if it barely works or only works on my phone.
