Internet has been very laggy and slow
Everytime I do my business, trading in financial markets or sometimes play, i’ve been experiencing a slow and laggy connection, considering paying a large amount worth of $206, it gone up more after my router/ modem was updated and i thought it will fix the problem but it doesn’t. Your company doesn’t seem to live up with your claims which is “internet connection is reliable, high-speed, low latency, and robust network infrastructure to support various activities like streaming, gaming, and working from home”. It doesn’t feels like it. Here’s my problems: Every time I open multiple tabs on either of my laptop or pc for my business the connections seems to slow down and keeps it from buffering too much. I do trading and sometimes when I open the charts be it in my laptop, pc or phone it takes a while for the charts to load or I can’t see what’s in my chart, like the “candles” on my chart for example. Sometimes when i hang out with my friends to play it’s the worst ever the game just keeps on lagging and lagging, always on a red ping. When there are 3 or more people connected on the internet it feels like the internet just become slower than or around 50mbps. Just want to point this out for you guys to fix it. I’m paying too much for a worst experience with your internet connection, $206 is an absurd amount of money to be wasted by a slow and crappy internet. You guys need to fix this as soon as possible before I pay that amount.13Views0likes1CommentFoxNews Watch stopped working on Cox Internet
Until recently, I was able to bring up the FoxNews app on my mobile device and click watch. Other than some minor issues with the federated SSO, it worked fine and I could stream FoxNews. Now, I can't even start a stream. Nothing. I just get the spinning status in the app. The app does not even switch to the video streaming page. I know the app works because I can move my wifi connection to a mobile phone and use my mobile carrier, which happens to be Cox Mobile, and the stream starts. It also works on my Verizon mobile I use for work. I tested it on both. I switch back to my wifi and it does not work. I have no other issues with streaming on my wifi. The smart TV works, my ipad streams Prime and Max perfectly. The only thing not streaming is FoxNews. Is anyone else having a problem streaming FoxNews over Cox Internet? The only other thing that has changed is my cable modem. Several months back I swapped out the Cox provided Cisco modem that included a phone line for an Arris Surfboard which has been working well. I moved off the land line to a Cox Mobile and loving it by the way. I honestly don't recall if the FoxNews Watch feature stopped working when I made that switch or understand wny a cable modem would be the culprit. This feels like an issue between Cox and Fox. Something is not connecting through a complex maze of network devices serving internet traffic but it does work on Cox Mobile. Weird but not completely surprising. My guess the the Cox Internet is a much older and different set of infrastructure and there might be some issues that Cox Mobile use don't experience. I can say over the last three months or so, there have been Internet service disruptions but things have been relatively stable recently. For a while, NFL football was flat out immpossible to use but has improved to "annoying" to watch. Not quite the quality streaming experience I am used to from Prime video. Cox Internet servcie distruptions were common for a while, espeically off hours on weekends, but things are back to normal for about the last month or so. I work from home and rely on Cox Internet for work, that part has been nearly rock solid. Just a hicup a couple times a year and I am not complaining about that at all. WHile the service is not perfect it is pretty dang good, the FoxNews Watch feature is completely broken on Cox Internet, at least for me.Solvedtsbergman15 hours agoNew Contributor II10Views0likes2CommentsGlitchy internet

Cox, it’s 2025, and I’m here to ask: where is the IPv6 support for your Gigablast Fiber service? You’ve been promising IPv6 support for years. Your own moderator, Lisa, posted on the forums five years ago: "Cox has established an IPv6 Migration Program to make sure that all Cox networks, systems, and products have IPv6 compatibility so that when the IPv4 addresses are exhausted, we will continue our business operations without interruption. We are in the process of developing the IPv6 migration plan for all of products and services." That was half a decade ago. And yet, IPv6 support for Gigablast Fiber remains non-existent. This lack of progress is unacceptable, especially for a service marketed as a top-tier fiber solution. Many users have been patiently waiting, discussing the need for IPv6 support, and repeatedly questioning its timeline: IPv6 Prefix Delegation on ONT When Will IPv6 Work with Fiber to the Home Under Gigablast? Gigablast - IPv6 ETA We’ve reached a point where IPv4 is no longer sustainable, and IPv6 adoption is essential for modern internet functionality. Major ISPs worldwide have implemented IPv6, yet Cox seems stuck in neutral. Why is Cox Gigablast Fiber—your premium service—still without IPv6 support? What is the timeline for implementation? Your customers deserve transparency and action, especially for your fiber customers, who are among your most advanced and discerning users. It’s time to deliver on your promises, Cox. Let’s hear an update.nsaconsultant22 hours agoNew Contributor65Views0likes7CommentsCall History Not Working

I updated from mini box to Contour 2 box with XR1-RF remote. After pairing to new Vizio 32" TV everything works but Cox remote will not power on or off the TV. I have to use the Vizio remote. Tried different paring codes with no change. Switched out box with Samsung TV and it works on Samsung but box from that TV will not work on Vizio. Any ideas?RBG2 days agoNew Contributor33Views0likes8CommentsRetain Email Address?
We are contemplating a move to an area that is serviced by another provider NOT Cox. Since our email addresses have been moved to yahoo email servers am I able to keep my cox email address if my new provider is Spectrum? I've had these addresses for over 15 years and it would be a pain to change all my contacts/accounts over to a new address.John__Enfield2 days agoNew Contributor31Views0likes2CommentsInternet failing in Chandler
I received a router from Cox. I had problems with this router before and took it back. They insist I take another router that was the exact same model. I now have the same problems occur where my Internet goes down at least 3 to 5 times a day. They insisted it was not the router. When I had another router model from them previously, it worked fine for five years. I’ve seen the Better Business Bureau post and other post about this. Giving up.
