Contour app
The last few days the contour app will not play channels 53,54,55,56 or 57. I'm in Fairfax County Va. I've tried on my laptop, tablet and brand new Android cell phone. I've even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I've rebooted the modem and router several times. I chatted with Cox and they said there was a problem with the app but didn't know when it would be fixed. Oh.... I've tried multiple other channels and they stream perfectly fine. I have an HBO account which recently started having problems. When I try to sign in to HBOGO on my work desktop, I recieve the message “Signed Out.We’re having trouble verifying your access to HBOGO with your TV provider. If you continue to have this issue, contact your TV provider for assistance.” I live in Alabama, and when I call my dad in Louisiana and ask him to sign, he is able to sign in and then I am immediately able to sign in on the desktop. This has been happening for the last month on the desktop, and for the past 2 weeks I have received the same message when I try to sign in on my phone, laptop, and Amazon Fire Stick. I haven’t been able to sign in to the Cox App for weeks now on my iPhone 13 PM. When I enter my username and password, I get “Error. We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later.” I am able to sign in to my account through my browser (Safari). I’ve already uninstalled and install the Cox App again, yet still getting the same error msg. The Cox App is much more user friendly than the Cox mobile website, by the way. So I just got done ordering the contour service - internet plus TV via countour app - about 30 minutes ago. I asked about what it is available on and was told Roku, Firestick, Apple store and Play store. I questioned this as I found on the site that it said it was not available to Roku and Firestick or Apple TV. I was assured that it was available to those (Roku and Firestick but not Apple TV) as that was what the technical department was telling the person that was helping me. Let me clear up something right now - I know the difference between the Countour app and then individual channel apps that can be downloaded. We are talking about the full blown Countour app. After going through the forums here and doing some Googleing, it appears others are being told the same thing and have been told this for a while. Is this coming in 2019 then and it's just a little "stretch of the truth" as it's something being worked on, but almost ready, but not completely ready, but soon..... Is that the thinking? So COX, which is it and why are people being told you can download the Contour app on Roku or Firestick, when in reality you cannot? Is it coming soon? When should we expect classicwebmail to convert to the new myemail.cox.net interface? My wife's account was converted in December 2017. As of 31 July 2018, mine was not converted. On 1 August the new interface worked for a couple of hours and had all my emails. Later that evening the emails disappeared and now I have to use the original clunky classic webmail, again. When should we anticipate the conversion? This has taken too long with too many unfulfilled promises and excuses along the way. It looks like there is something going on with this. I recently updated the Contour app on my iPad and iPhone and now there are new line-items under Saved: Recordings and Scheduled— stuff on my DVR box. Also, the Recently Watched under Saved/For You is populated with DVR recordings. But none of these can be played on the app... yet. I'm inthe market to buy a couple Cox Panoramic wifi pods. Not sure how long this issue has been going on since I only recently downloaded the Panoramic Wifi App. I'm having issues trying to login. The app is telling me I need to upgrade my service after going to the browser and logging in to my Cox account. This is not true as I pay for Gigablast and have the Panoramic gateway modem. I have had both of these for 2+ years now. Been on a couple service chats and one call. All associates can verify I should be able to use the Pods with my modem but are getting held up on to why the app is giving me that message. I only have one account, no secondary accounts so that is not the issue. I don't want to order the pods until the app is working on my end. I'm guessing by Cox's support staff responses that they have no clue what the issue is. Their best fix was to "uninstall/reinstall the app" on my phone and try to sign in again.Any help is appreciated.2.3KViews0likes2CommentsClockface
When is Cox Home life going to return to his senses and replace the missing clock screen? This thing looks like is a dead tablet and looks junky without the clock?
