TV Sound Cuts in and out
I notice many weekend nights my cable tv sound cuts in and out. I've reset the box mutlipe times and does not fix this. All cables to the tv an box are new and tight.

You would think that the moderators would notice that all these complaints are about the exact same problems and notify Cox about the issue. Instead they seem to just send out the same suggestions to check the equipment, reboot and call a service tech.
I agree. Does your picture freeze at the same time the sound cuts out? That is what mine is doing.

Yes. At first it was just short audio drop. About the same time they use for bleeping. Now the sound lose is for longer time and still with the freeze. I noticed this morning when I turned my TV on it opened on a channel I never watch. This seems to happen when Cox does updates or outages over night. So maybe something was done last night.

Well whatever Cox did last fixed the sound but in the process they messed up all the Cox streaming apps! Had to sign back in to the major streamers, but a couple of the free apps cox offers are not responding. Tried Pluto TV but it just keeps loading. Oh well can't have everything I pay for I guess! Hope you sound and picture freeze is fixed.
Of course I have rebooted a couple of times and I called a tech. Nothing. You should know by now those of us who have had numerous Cox issues know how to do all the fixes, reboot, unplug, disconnect the cables from the box and wall. Obviously the issue is generated by Cox. Didn't have this problem until they had a "maintenance" outage over night on 6/22. No service call will fix this.
