Wifi is constantly going offline and “smart help” is absolutely no help
It seems like every week I have issues with my cox panoramic gateway. Starting from WiFi going offline, blinking lights to spending an hour trying to restart it and get it working. This typically happens once a month, but over the last 4 straight days this has been happening each day. Smart help… honestly, is no help at all. The most they can do besides suggest I pay a tech to come out to look at why my wifi keeps going offline is to say they can’t do anything and to think about upgrading my services. I’ve upgraded twice already for things to only get worse, I’m not doing that again. Sometimes they can restart it, they were able to do that one time in the past 3 years, but every other time I asked, they wouldn’t ( not sure why if you were able to do it before but, go off )
The constant dropping of my wifi signal is beyond frustrating, unreliable and despite it being an issue for so many other users, it seems to be an on going problem rather than any solutions being put forward or anything being addressed to the people who purchase these services. All you get told in response is “we know this can be frustrating for you…” ; yes, it is, yet nothing is being done about it. While I know that’s easier said than done, I’ve had this service for years now and at this point it’s ridiculous how much I have to reach out to get no answers and my wifi working again, but it’s not like they really help! By the time they “help” and ask their questions, it starts working again ( there have been no outages in my area ) but I know my wifi will drop again tomorrow and it’ll be a repeat of the whole process.
there’s nothing wrong with any wiring or anything, the signal just goes offline all the time. Truthfully, I get more help and actual answers from strangers on the internet than people who actually work with this company.
I wouldn’t recommend this company’s services to anyone, unless they REALLY WANT having a service they can hardly rely on, something that barley works (I never knew it was too much to ask that the WiFi service I pay for actually works as intended ) , something that lags constantly, and then to top it off, a “help center” that doesn’t even do that. I honestly just want to know why my panoramic wifi goes offline so often so that I can change or fix whatever it is I need because in the 3 years that I’ve asked “why”, I’ve never once been told a solid reason besides “we don’t know, but we can send a tech out to you!” At this point, I’m better off trying to find a different WiFi provider I think
