Actually, I am retired. I have had Cox in my home for over 30 years. First TV service, then internet then telephone.
I have always found them to be responsive to the few issues I have had, of course I talked to the people there like human beings, and treated them nicely, something that I gather from your post, YOU didn't do.
That being said, MOST issues are actually easily resolved. In the home, replacing barrel connectors in wall plates, replacing splitters, replacing coax cables from wall plates to devices fix many problems. If the issues is the service coming up to the home, Cox will fix that to, but you need to get a tech out to troubleshoot, and if you have had more than a couple of techs out, request a senior tech, or a field supervisor look into it. If you live in an apt, request a senior MDU, (Multiple Dwelling) technician.
I pay for 500 down, and 50 up -
As you can see, I get that. Whatever issue you are having, it can be fixed.
If you WANT it fixed, WMO and myself can assist you in how to ascertain where the issue is, and how to get it fixed. Bad mouthing, swearing, and being unkind, gets you nowhere.
I have done the things you are suggesting sir. The issue is cox cuts internet going in. 5 days in a row during the holidays they stop service at 8-9 pm. Family time! I have dealt with cox forever but I'm over dealing with the same problems. Believe me my leaving is not a half cocked decision. It had been coming for a while. I understand that giving advice here is the norm but I also believe forums should be used for free speech and that helps others too. No soapbox just my opinion and my right. I am not some young girl spurting crap. I have an enormous amount of friends and family leaving Cox. Ie Mass Exit. You can agree with me or not that's your right. I have an issue with bullies. I will call them out everytime. Done have a wonderful Holiday...
How do you know they are cutting service? Is an outage declared? If not, what is the indication on your modem?
I ask, because it may NOT be Cox cutting service, it could be something like a neighbor with a Ham radio broadcasting between the times you are having issues, and if they have cox and a bad coax connection somewhere, their radio signal could be getting in the lines and causing your issues.
There are MANY things that can cause problems, and not all of them are things that Cox can control.
Well it's my understanding that they are working here on the lines at night about these times. They are declaring an outage and say they are working to resolve it asap. If you are working on the lines at that time of night you cutting the service...right? I'm just thinking that makes sense. I am not a linesman but what do you think? This is the 6th going into the 7th day with this issue and the trucks are down here before the outage. This is a small community so it's seen easily.
Hi gntnjf,
The last thing we would want is to lose a loyal customer, especially without an opportunity to address your service issues. If if is not too late, please send us an email with your account details to Cox.help@cox.com and we would be happy to investigate your concerns. Surely we can work together to improve on our current relationship.

That may be your "opinion" but those aren't the rules of the forum. If you had read the sticky you would see
"The purpose of the Cox Internet Forum is to allow customers to discuss technical topics related to residential Cox High Speed Internet services with other customers. If you need help with billing or other account specific issues, please reach us on Twitter at @CoxHelp, visit us on Facebook, or at cox.help@cox.com."
Another words, this forum is to fix technical problems. It's not a place to rant, leave a review, or discuss billing issues. How am I a bully? For expecting people to follow the rules? To be civil and not swear their heads off? I think you are just upset this isn't a place you can take out your frustration on Cox without repercussion from someone who isn't paid to take your emotional outburst. I have a issue with bullies too and it seems like you want the right for people to act like them towards Cox. Cox employees are people too. They deserve respect and some common decency. If OP had talked like that to a DMV agent they would be kicked out by security.
