STILL NO CHAT TRANSCRIPTS
Multiple times I have been told that there is an option to get your CHAT transcript emailed to you when you end the chat. This still is not available and I want to know why it’s been several years and several people have posted and other users have told me that they have the same problem so I’m sure COX is aware and chooses not to have a CHAT transcript so they cannot be held accountable. I am using the app not a computer.Sab3168 hours agoNew Contributor II49Views1like9CommentsInstallation of internet 1Gig question
I want to upgrade from 500 mb internet to 1gig. I have asked about the installation and if they will run wire inside the house to the seperate rooms I need to hardwire devices. I have not been able to get a straight answer. Has anyone had the installation for the 1 gig speed that can tell me if they ran cable inside the house to different rooms?Akrauz8 hours agoVisitor18Views0likes4CommentsArris SB6190
Hi, The SB6190 won't keep a steady high rate. I use the cox online reset and then have to hard boot the modem in order for it to get close to 500Mbps (If I don't hard boot the modem after the reset, it doesn't get any faster). The improved speed lasts between 2 hours and two days and then it drops to 30Mbps. This has been occurring for over 2 months. I have tried 2 of the same model. Creating a new post of a discussion started here. Does anyone have any insight into what the hardware or network requirements are for the different upload speeds? For example, as per here, the upload speed for the 500Mbps download tier is: ""10 Mbps, 50 Mbps, or 500 Mbps, based on the network architecture serving your physical address". What does the "network architecture" refer to? I know to get symmetric speeds you need fiber, so that would explain the 500Mbps upload, but is the difference between 10 and 50Mbps? Are they talking about having a OFDMA channel available in your area? Are they talking about mid-split? Something else? Also, what changes what upload speed you get on fiber on the 2Gbps tier? It says it can be both 1Gbps or 2Gbps upload. Is that to do with just the available bandwidth or the congestion in the area or is there a different fiber tech some areas have? Like GPON vs XGS PON? I assume it requires a ONT that has a multi-gigabit ethernet port.SolvedWiderMouthOpen9 hours agoEsteemed Contributor II61Views0likes16CommentsInternet failing in Chandler
I received a router from Cox. I had problems with this router before and took it back. They insist I take another router that was the exact same model. I now have the same problems occur where my Internet goes down at least 3 to 5 times a day. They insisted it was not the router. When I had another router model from them previously, it worked fine for five years. I’ve seen the Better Business Bureau post and other post about this. Giving up.Recommendations for other providers in Chandler? Verizon?seanstrickler19 hours agoVisitor18Views0likes1CommentCall History Update
Call records were displayed in the All tab for a few hours on 01/14/2025, then disappeared again and haven't been seen since. For call records to be available after a month-long outage and then be removed again would have required someone at Cox to have done something to cause it. Has anyone who experienced the Call History outage on 12/13/2024 had the issue fixed?CurtB8 hours agoHonored Contributor290Views0likes27CommentsRemote not turning the tv off
I have a XR11 v3-utu remote. I go through the setup to use the remote to work with the Samsung TV and that works. Next step is to program it to work with the Yahama receiver, and that works. BUT, then it NO LONGER works for shutting off the TV. Please help with any suggestions. Thanks.RID2 days agoNew Contributor16Views0likes1CommentContour and Paramount+
So I saw this Thread from 4 years ago but could not reply. Why is Cox advertising Contour being able to support Paramount+ yet there is NO WAY to apply the TV code to a website activator? Reply In order to access the Paramount+ app through Cox, a subscription to Paramount+ is required. All billing for the Paramount+ app is billed through Paramount+. There are two options to sign into the Paramount+ app. If you choose “Try it free” follow the instructions on the screen. a) In a web browser, enter paramountplus.com/cox. b) Follow the website directions to create your account. c) After creating your account when the website asks you to enter your activation code, enter the activation code displayed on your TV screen. If you chose “Sign In” two options display on your screen. • If selecting On My TV, then using your Cox remote, enter your Email and Password for Paramount+, then highlight and select Sign In. To sign in, you must already have an account with Paramount+. If you do not already have an account, refer to the steps for the 30-day free trial. • If selecting On the Web, then enter paramountplus.com/cox in a web browser and enter the code now displayed on your TV screen. Follow the instructions to sign in and the TV will authorize automatically when complete. Please try again.2pair2 days agoVisitor II15Views0likes1CommentForum discussion sorting
