Internet failing in Chandler

I received a router from Cox. I had problems with this router before and took it back. They insist I take another router that was the exact same model. I now have the same problems occur where my Internet goes down at least 3 to 5 times a day. They insisted it was not the router. When I had another router model from them previously, it worked fine for five years. I’ve seen the Better Business Bureau post and other post about this. Giving up. Recommendations for other providers in Chandler? Verizon?

    Why you asking here what internet provider you should get? That's like asking at McDonald's what fast food restaurant you should eat at. Did you want to troubleshoot the problem? If so, tell us about your network and more about the problem.

    It’s a forum with external contributors who could share similar experiences and maybe another option.
    You are right though, I may be being lazy to continue to work to fix a router issue they have recently introduced based on my experience of 5 years of good service prior. 
    Spent far too many hours troubleshooting already with them. On to my day job and another provider.

      I don't see why you just don't get your own modem and router. Why do you pay Cox to rent their junk? Do you need it for wireless TV boxes or something?

        That is a good idea. Any recommendations? Just basic usage, TVs, cameras, and wireless.
