Disconnection fee
Well first of all I'm one month behind my bill I just haven't been able to get back on my feet so I've been making my past due bill for at least 3 months so they were charging me 6 dollars for been late which I understand last month I got disconnected around the 25th or 26th so I paid the pass due balance to get reconnected even though it wasn't supposed to be cut off until the last day of the month yesterday I was about to pay it again but I noticed that the 6 dollars turned into a26 dollars charged so I contacted them and they told me the 6 dollars was for been late and 20 for reconnection and that I am scheduled to be cut off again on the 25th of this month so I asked them why? when my bill does not dues until the last day of this month it wasn't really my fault my bill was cut off last month because wasn't due until the last day of the month but they went ahead and cut me off almost a week before due time so they said they were going to waive it at this time I had to get back to work so I got disconnected from the chat ok this morning I went to pay it again and I still see the 26 dollars on my bill I just contacted them again I was greeted that I got the right person to fix my problem so as soon as I was done going through everything again they sent me a link telling me to go there to fix my problem that their system went down I'm like are you serious right now and they replied Me back right away saying our system is down I'm like why are we still talking then if you system is down don't make it any sense any way my the bottom line I don't think I've been treated fairly because even tho I'm late they still getting pay for me been late I got cut off a week before due date and I'm scheduled to be cut off again a week before due Date .......abylara12343 days agoVisitor II35Views0likes1CommentWifi hotspot
WiFi Hotspot frustration I was able to successfully connect to a Cox WiFi hotspot with no issues until recently , in the middle of the night it kicked me off the hotspot on all my devices at the same time, and now over the past week, I have not been able to connect to it with any of them. But I have been able to connect to any other Cox hotspot around town The network, "Cox WiFi," still appears on the list of available networks. It also has three bars, indicating that there is a strong signal. Whenever I click on it to connect, it does not connect. Pay for Gigabit, all devices capped at 30mbps
I've seen several posts similar to this and want to add my experience. Paying for Gig download speeds, every single device on any bandwidth maxes out at 30mbps. 4 chats, 1 phone call, and a technician visit and they all provided no solution. They either try to sell me on other services, blame the equipment, or see that it's fine after a reset and don't try to diagnose it after that. The technician said they'd even come back that same day but ignored my message asking them to. Bought a new docsis 3.1 modem, wifi7 nighthawk router, and replaced all cables and speeds just die after 5-20 minutes of every modem reset attempt. None of the suggestions I have seen do me any good. The technician tried to blame a spitter in the box that the previous owner had setup for Dish services. Pinging the modem directly came back with the same speeds. Any reset brings the speeds up to a gig on all devices I ping for 5-20 minutes then all drop down again. Doesn't matter what bandwidth I use as the slow speed occurs on 2.4, 5.0, and even 6.0. Moved into this new place 2 weeks ago and they've done nothing to help. Basically the title of the thread, my internet goes down for hours everyday is borderline unusable for the latter half and this has been consistent for months. I've reached out dozens of times to get help from an agent nothing. It's not only mine my buddy that lives 2 doors down from me also has the same issue and has reached out same deal basically told to get bent. Tldr: Go with another company.
