On a Roku, how do I stream Cox channels I pay for
I have Cox digital and a Roku. I have managed to get some of the Discovery and History channels to stream on my Roku..Not live tv.. Yet other channels will not stream. Such as Boomerang cartoon channel, CBS live, ABC live, etc., that I pay for, through Cox. How do I get these channels to link to my Roku through my Cox account without having to pay additional fees for the channel? Is there a way to stream ALL Cox channels on the Roku? Is there a Cox Contour app for Roku? Thanks in advance for any, useful, help.32KViews0likes4CommentsSuggestions for down internet at same time every night?
Hi, I’ve had problems with my internet (50 mbps) either going out or becoming slow intermittently for awhile now and can often solve the problem with a modem refresh. For the last five nights my internet has gone down between 6-8pm and does not come up until the following morning around 8 or 9 am. After multiple attempts to get through to customer service with long wait times I was able to speak with someone over chat last night and after troubleshooting for an hour and a half was told they could not fix the problem but could see I had a problem. The only offer was to send a tech out for $75 that would stand outside of my door and tell me what to do to see if that would fix the issue. I have been down this road before and 1. I’m not paying for a service that should be provided as part of their contract for the exorbitant fees I’m paying for month in addition to the equipment I am renting from them and 2. My internet works fine during the day. This has been an ongoing issue for 5 days in a row now and is once again happening tonight and is extremely frustrating. Is cox turning off internet access at night? Is anyone else having this issue? Or can anyone recommend something that may help. I have manually unplugged and rebooted my modem. Unscrewed the cable, let it reboot. Powered down all of my devices and repeated the same process. It will not let me do a modem reset on the website now. It says it is unable to. It’s upsetting that cox is trying to make money on service calls for issues like this when they should be the ones offering a credit for the now 60 hours of time I have not been able to use my internet, but that is another issue of customer service. I would just like to find a solution to this issue.8.7KViews1like3CommentsCannot Connect to the League of Legends LATAM Servers
Hello, After days of communication with the support team at Riot Games, we have come to the conclusion that it is just my personal internet connection that will not allow me to connect to their game servers. I can confirm this as I have been able to connect to the LATAM servers from other internet connections. Attached is a Tracert and I will also copy past the results below. Some help with resolving this issue would be great as i have been unable to connect for weeks now. Called Cox for new internet options. Told me I was grandfathered in at 150. Quoted me 300 and Giga. Call ended. I had a Netgear 3.0 modem / router combo that worked fine. I buy a 3.0 modem and a mesh router to increase my WIFI area. I try to get it calibrated only to find out I have a work order for GigaBlast speeds and my 3.0 equipment is unusable. So as a patient person I go and swap my 3.0 for a 3.1 modem costing me more money. I call to get the 3.1 calibrated by Cox and it shows all green lights 3.0, no blue lights for Arris SB8200 Docsis 3.1 GigaBlast No Blue Lights Up or Down. Speeds are 250 down and 20 up and that is before and after a modem factory reset with ONLY my laptop plugged in. Tried with a desktop as well with the same result. - Called and asked was GiagBlast and Docsis 3.1 avilable in my area and told it was - Forced to GigaBlast without request and told I can't return to my original speed - Asked me to upgrade my equipment to take advantage of GigaBlast but when equipment is installed it I only get 3.0 and low speeds - Called from 10am to Midnight and text chat too. After dealing with 6 different people and a whole day wasted I still got nowhere - Best of all I was told no work could be done while there was an "outage" in my area. One that lasted from 2pm to 7pm, and then another that started at 12am forecast to end at 6am. Anybody else have these issues and if so how were they resolved??? - Do yourself a favor and DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT engage in the text chat option from your phone. A waste of time and resources!!!! Last month I realized that I was not charged for my bill. I am enrolled in Easy Pay so I thought it was kinda strange since this has never happened before. I then thought that it was probably due to the fact that my due date was close to President's Day so I assumed the payment would go through at a later date. However, today is my due date and I was charged four times the regular amount that I usually pay. I have Straight Up Internet which is $50 a month, so because my payment didn't go through in February I was expecting to be charged double ($100, for last month and this month), but they ended up charging me $200. And I highly doubt that this double charge will go towards any future bills.2.2KViews0likes1Commentnot being able to access cox wifi app or browser
I have been trying to access the cox wifi app or wifi.cox.com through the browser. I want to do this so I can access my wifi settings, Including port forwarding. This is what I get when I attempt to access the website. - Please Give Us a Call Sorry, there is a bit more we need to do to get you up and running with Panoramic Wifi. Call us at 1-800-234-3993, and we will get you squared away. To be clear, I AM able to enter my CORRECT username and password after I enter it displays this message. When I attempt to log into my account on the main cox.com website and the cox app everything works fine. I have been having this problem since I moved in last July and every time I call it's either "the website is down for support" or some other excuse. Only about two weeks ago was I told that this issue has been reported by others and it would be looked into.... two weeks ago after many months. I am tired of having to reexplain my issue with customer service which is why I'm making this post. Also worth noting is that when I look at "My account" and "manage wifi" on the main cox website it shows this - It looks like you are using a modem that is not compatible with Panoramic Wifi. Panoramic Wifi is available to customers who rent an eligible gateway.Upgrade Now. But I definitely have the router that supports cox panoramic wifi because it's the same that I had before I moved here.Technicolor CGM4141is what I have now and had before. wifi.cox.com and the cox wifi app worked prior to my move. It might be worth noting that there were issues because I had canceled my last account during my move and I don't entirely understand how it was resolved, I think maybe I have a new account number now. But I have wondered if that could be a contributing factor to these issues.1.9KViews0likes2CommentsDid Cox call customers saying Cox will send new modems to replace the old one?
I got a call from a guy saying he is a Cox Representative and that Cox was going to send me a new modem to replace the old out dated modem. I haven't received any modem and now wonder if this was a scammer calling to gain information or to get me to say certain words over the phone to use in order to set me up for a scam. So did Cox call or not?1.6KViews0likes2CommentsInternet Speeds
I have Cox Gigablast (Coaxial) bundle with contour TV (7 cable boxes) and contour voice (phones work on the 1.9ghz) with the panoramic gateway but I disabled the wifi on the gateway because its signal is not good at all for my 7000 square foot home and I connected a Luxul XWR 3150 V2 AC-3100 Dual - Band router that has 4 external antennas, which I bought 2 days ago with the Cat5e cable that came with the router. On the 5ghz wifi, I only get maximum of 450 mbps, 2 feet away from the router. Shouldn't I be getting atleast 800 or 900 mbps? I understand 1000 mbps is very unlikely but I am not satisfied with 450 mbps. Cox changed the spiltters in August. I have tried the speed tests on multiple different channels and 450 mbps is the highest I've got. I've power cycled the gateway and the router and multiple speed tests. The DNS is set to Google's Public DNS. Nothing on my network is a old that would slow down my speeds. The coaxial cable is as tight and I've had others make sure the connection is tight. How can I get close to the speeds I am paying for?1.4KViews0likes3Comments
