Online TV/Contour prohibits screen mirroring?
Hi, I was having difficulty with my normal laptop so I decided to watch my Cox online TV from my Apple 6 phone. I picked the channel and started the stream then decided I wanted to see the picture bigger, so I enabled screen mirroring to my Apple TV that is connected to my living room Apple TV, but as soon as the mirroring started the Contour app stopped playback insisting that I was "recording content". WTHeck? I was not recording anything, I merely wanted to mirror the screen so I could enjoy the program on my bigger screen. Please advise how to tell the app that I'm not stealing programming and that I just want to watch what I've paid for.6.7KViews0likes1Comment

Was just upgraded to Contour 2. One question: Is there a setting which allows me to preset a channel to be displayed every time I turn on the box? Wife wakes up, turns on box, and would like to see HLN (CNN) right as the TV turns on. Same channel every time it's turned on. Contour TV Billing
I have been a happy Cox customer since June 2010 and that ended in June 2017. This is because I am still being billed for a Contour box I did not want and also returned the same week it was delivered to my house in May of 2017. I have contacted COX on the phone 5 different times and once in-person since June to get this issue fixed and NOTHING has been fixed or refunded even after each rep has said "Yes, we will get this corrected and refunded right away," it still does not change or update my account. Straight up lies each time. My credit card company has already refunded me for some of the months after they did a full month of investigating and resolved the transaction disputes in my favor. I should only be paying about $70 per month for the internet that I have. How do I get this TV service completely removed from my billing and refunded??? Otherwise I will continue to dispute all TV charges with my credit card company, and I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS! This is complete nonsense, business carelessness. I have a DVD player that I have not been able to use since getting contour. I had it set up with the mini boxes but everything was undone when Cox came out and set up Contour. Does the new Contour 6 (and Contour 2) DVRs automatically store 6 (or 2) channels at the same time without setting up to record? My present DVRs (I have two) both auto record the channel each tuner is on and I can switch back and forth with the "SWAP" button. Is this feature available on the Contour DVRs?726Views1like0Comments
Contour Cable Box Freezing Constantly
My contour cable box is constantly freezing but only does so when I have the channel guide open or when I am browsing through On-Demand shows or movies. Additionally, if I have a show or movie playing, that show or movie will suddenly "crash"...it will freeze, the screen will go blank, and then the regular TV will come back on. Is there any fix for this that can be done from home without a technician? Do I need to purchase a different box? PLEASE HELP!!!25KViews1like6Comments
Considering switching from DISH to Contour - confused about something
Two questions that aren't readily apparent to me: 1) Is Contour 2 live and being distributed? (As opposed to "Contour 1"?) 2) I have three TV's, and want identical DVR on each. So do I need the Record 6 Whole Home DVR and two Contour HD Receivers, or three receivers? (Does the Record 6 act as a receiver for the TV it's on?) And one question about pricing - I can renew DISH for a two year cost of $2203.44, or sign up with Cox for $2939.52 (similar channel and hardware configs, also assuming I only need two Contour receivers).
