Slingbox 500 with a Cisco XiD (Model CXD01ANI) Contour 2
I just upgrade to Contour 2 due to major DVR issue. When they did this, they replaced my Cisco Model GSH4742 with the mini HDMI receiver, Cisco XiD (Model CXD01ANI). The mini HDMI receiver does not come with any components that is need for sound but it does not support infrared for online remote control. Suggestion how I can get around the components and the missing IR remote control?2.4KViews0likes1CommentMini Box channel availability
Is the mini's inability to provide sports pak channels a permanent situation? It makes little sense to me that the espn channels in the 300s, that I subscribe to, aren't available in the other room. I'm not looking to record them, just to view the programming I'm paying for.1.8KViews0likes4CommentsAll Digital Conversion
I was under the impression that if I had a digital television that I would be able to get digital stations on the television without having to have a "BOX" of any kind? I read the information about the "MINI BOX" and decided that I would not need it for my digital television. My interpretation was that if you had an old analog television you would need the mini box. Did I misunderstand what this conversion really meant?1.4KViews0likes1CommentMinibox continues to indicate reboot required for update
One of our TVs has an issue where the minibox recycles every few minutes indicating reboot required. When select is chosen on remote tthe TV resumes and the cycle continues. The box was replaced and the issue continues. There is a spltter in the house and a signal booster on this TV and one other that had pixilation problems. All other TVs work without issue. I am not willing to pay a service call as this issue was initiated AFTER we were forced to use miniboxes. What is the solution?1.2KViews0likes1CommentMini Boxes and Essential Pack
I recently added new TV service (Starter Pack and two mini boxes), I had some issues with the service and after a few phone calls and chat sessions I had the problem solved, Cox sent a technician and he took care of the situation, It seemed that the CSR that placed the order for me never included that somebody had to come to my home to remove a filter from the outside box. The boxes are working fine now and the image in HD is great, I also like the programming guide and being able to use the box remote to control the TV (on/off and volume features). Now there is another problem: I am very pleased with the service and I wanted to upgrade to the Essential Pack which includes around 70 channels, I've called on numerous occasions, I've been transferred from one department to another and not a single soul in Cox Communications has been able to offer me what they call "campaign price" or something like that, when I requested the service I was only talked into contracting the Starter Pack with a discount as a new customer, now I am calling five days later and they say I have to pay much more to upgrade and they don't know why the system does not allow them to offer me a better deal. I even spoke with the retention's department to no avail. My question is: Is there a human in Cox with enough power to override whatever the system says in my account and give me a good deal like they used to do before?, I have been fighting with fees, wrong prices and misunderstandings since I decided to order the TV service, they even wanted me to pay 75.00 dollars because in the home I live now the previous tenants did not have cable service in the last five years (I moved in October)... go figure!... whoever writes the terms and conditions of their offers need some basic logic, not everything is money, customer loyalty still exists isn't it?... I have not received a bill yet, I am waiting for a big billing surprise Cox style. Please help, I am a disabled senior on a fixed income and every penny counts, A GOOD PRICE IN THE ESSENTIAL PACK IS ALL I NEED, THANK YOU!1.4KViews0likes1Commenthow do I get TiVo series 2 to work with a cox cisco 250hd mini box
I see many forums, but no answers and nothing since 2015. Phoenix just made everyone change to the Mini box. I have tried for hours and hours and days and days, did anyone find out the exact box to use or the a correct code? I have both the blasters and I special ir cord that goes from the TiVo to the back of the Cisco box (ir in) I have tried both with several different box names. RCA, Scientific, pace, Thomson, evolution, and a bunch of others. Someone told me to use the Explorer, which is not an option on my TiVo. I asked Tivo and they sent me some of the instructions which I read and have seen in here somewhere, tried again, and still can not find. I see Comcast has an actual Comcast DTA box on the list. (tried it also). Is there something I am missing? Can someone please help. I do not understand why TiVo cannot get the Cisco 250HD mini box in the system. Do I need a new box? Plus, why can't I reply to the other forums? There is not a reply button. Maybe I am just having a bad week. Thanks! Cheri3.3KViews0likes6Comments
