All Digital Conversion

I was under the impression that if I had a digital television that I would be able to get digital stations on the television without having to have a "BOX" of any kind?

I read the information about the "MINI BOX" and decided that I would not need it for my digital television.

My interpretation was that if you had an old analog television you would need the mini box.

Did I misunderstand what this conversion really meant?

    Yes, you did misunderstand, not only is Cox converting to all digital but is encrypting all channels. You won't get anything without a set-top-box, mini or full, or a cable card if your TV supports it.
