Mini Box channel availability

Is the mini's inability to provide sports pak channels a permanent situation? It makes little sense to me that the espn channels in the 300s, that I subscribe to, aren't available in the other room. I'm not looking to record them, just to view the programming I'm paying for.

    Destinman,

There currently is no plans to add those channels to the mini box. If there is any changes to that in the future you will receive a notification on the bill. Thanks

That is incorrect, Andrew. it is also for users, like me, who used to receive some digital channels via ClearQAM. That ability went away with encryption and you need at least a minibox to get the basic channels that were ClearQAM.

DestinMan, the minibox is designed to receive Starter and Essential channels only, you need a full digital STB to get your sports pak. I watch my sports on the main TV with Contour box, I just use the minibox in the bedroom for the basics.

what part of what I said was incorrect?  I said the main use was to get customers off the analog tier which is all that was transmitted on analog tv's
