TV channels
Half of the tv channels we pay for will not come in, we get nothing but a black screen, other channels always say temporarily off air. We have had a tech come out and the channels came in for about 24 hours after that it was back to the same problem. Hi, There is a Cox cable improperly installed on my neighbors house, it runs across our property from the pole and is not within 15ft of an electrical box for proper grounding. Besides the safety issue here, the front half of our double is rented out and the cable looks bad, makes our place look cheap. I want it move (have been told its not a big deal) and have asked cox to do this multiple times over the last few months...Does anyone else have Cox cables trespassing across their property or improperly installed? I have been a happy Cox customer since June 2010 and that ended in June 2017. This is because I am still being billed for a Contour box I did not want and also returned the same week it was delivered to my house in May of 2017. I have contacted COX on the phone 5 different times and once in-person since June to get this issue fixed and NOTHING has been fixed or refunded even after each rep has said "Yes, we will get this corrected and refunded right away," it still does not change or update my account. Straight up lies each time. My credit card company has already refunded me for some of the months after they did a full month of investigating and resolved the transaction disputes in my favor. I should only be paying about $70 per month for the internet that I have. How do I get this TV service completely removed from my billing and refunded??? Otherwise I will continue to dispute all TV charges with my credit card company, and I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS! This is complete nonsense, business carelessness. My contour cable box is constantly freezing but only does so when I have the channel guide open or when I am browsing through On-Demand shows or movies. Additionally, if I have a show or movie playing, that show or movie will suddenly "crash"...it will freeze, the screen will go blank, and then the regular TV will come back on. I asked a questions earlier and apparently I gave to much info regarding the issue because it was replied to and then locked by Moderator, Michaelj. My 'TECHNICAL' question is, (I will underline it, since it was hard to spot in the original post).... Should the Contour service be supported on the Cisco 4742HDC? Since I am being billing for it and billing says that it is a technical issue I figured I would start on this forum before contacting support. I was under the impression this forum was to discuss the most common technical questions with the Cox Community, not just the Cox Moderators, at least that is what the forum home page suggested. For the past month our TBS channel (OKC channel 731) has not worked. The non-HD channel 62 works.. but HD 731 does not. We called the first time about 3 weeks ago.. and after running all of the tests they could not determine what was wrong. We were supposed to have received a call within 24-48 hours and did not. I called again a couple of days ago.. they ran more tests, had us check physical connections etc.. nothing helped. While we were waiting on the testing they were explaining the Contour and home phone bundling they were wanting us to "upgrade" to. By the end of the call, we had not signed up for the additional stuff and there was still no explanation for the missing TBS station. Now, FOX News and CNN are missing as well. Part of me feels like they went "missing" because we didn't sign up for their additional services. But I'm sure that's ridiculous. Has anyone else had this issue? Cox - if you're reading this - is there really no way we can get our channels back? I was told the channels would "definitely return" if we got the new contour box. I have Cox/cable service for the first time ever.. When I built my house, I had RG6 installed to all locations in the event this would happen one day. I have a few random channels that are pixelated. After a ton of trouble shooting, the tech ran made a long cable and effectively replaced my installed RG-6. Problem went away.. :( This is a two story house and there is no way to get a new RG6 installed. I have CAT5 at that location and would like to effectively convert my Cox cable to CAT5 and back to RG-6 to eliminate this problem. Are there any suggestions out there?? Atleast 2 or 3 times a day I receive an error message when I try and select a channel. It's not a specific channel that is having problems it's all over the place with issues. This is unacceptable. We switched to Cox with the promise of a visa card also and I haven't been able to get any answers about how to get that. I have reset the cable box many times and it solves the issue sometimes but not always. I need yall to correct both of these situations now4.4KViews0likes1Comment
