Wondering if you can help me, I just got an Arris SB8200 modem today and ordered Gigablast service.
My lights are all green (no blue at all). I am in orange county, california (92630). I connect to Cox orange county server
and my download speeds range from 300-600Mbps. Upstream is consistent at 35-40Mbps.
WIFI speed is not consistent on downstream (100-250Mbps)
So I'm not getting advertised 940Mbps and the blue light (which Arris documentation states indicates high speed DOCSIS 3.1
connection is NOT ON - still green.
My older Docsis 3.0 modem and 200Mbps service didn't have this problem. Always consistent downstream for both LAN and WIFI.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?
Yes nothing obvious wrong with the modem when I go to the status screen. Am I supposed to see a blue light on the modem or not? I've hit speeds up to 700Mbps (almost at 940), does this mean I'm still in docsis 3.0 mode or not?
Great technical feedback - thank you. Everything is connected securely inside the house. When I go to the main panel outside where the main cable feed comes in, there are two connectors (one is a simple 1 to 1 connector and the other is a 5-1002MHz splitter which looks like low quality). This splits the main signal to two lines coming inside the house - one of which I connect directly to the modem.
Is it possible that there is a problem with the outside 1 to 1 connector and/or splitter? I can order a new splitter if necessary (amazon sells 5MHz to 2300MHz).

I suggest Extreme splitters.
Ok I removed the splitter and I'm getting about 800-930Mbps. I still don't have the blue light on the downstream on the modem. Not sure why - looks like i'm still on docsis 3.0.
