Very high ping on one out of two computers; has persisted for several days

I am experiencing a very strange situation.

I have two widows PC's which i use to stream Geforce Now. One is connected to the router by WIFI, and the other by ethernet. Both have normal (1-5ms ping) to the router.

However, the machine that is connected by ethernet is showing 150-250ms to the GFN servers & 120ms when running a speedtest. The wifi connected computer is experiencing 15-20ms, as usual.

Looking at the traceroute log on the problem machine, it says it is failing to reach the Geforce now server in the first attempt. That's about all i could derive from it. If anyone could advise the next appropriate course of action, i would be very grateful!

I have rebooted every in-house network related device (several times) & all drivers are up to date.

he said he was experiencing high ping on one device. That indicates something different in the settings internal of the devices themselves.

What happens if you run this same trace route on the device not having he issues?  Can you post the results?

So there is a couple of things to try. Dr TCP was a program that could allow you to adjust your ethernet settings
