More packet loss...

The holiday is bringing Cox's oversubscribed infrastructure in my neighborhood to it's knees. How is this acceptable at all?

Update: They're splitting the node in 2 weeks time.

I just got the email that Cox is finally splitting the node in my neighborhood! Coincidence? Who knows. I'm just very happy it's actually, finally, going to happen.

    Node split N+0?

I think the modem is just very close to node (just a few houses away) so the US power levels tend to be on the lower side.

Yea it has been like this since the start of the pandemic and the service hasn't really improved any. I am seriously considering taking a speed hit and getting a Starlink dish just for better latency and reliability. A lot of people use VoIP and Discord in my house and they're all getting tired of it too.
