I have had a change on my network. Even though I have my Privacy settings for the Cox HotSpot option on my Panoramic Server set to DISABLE, I see the COX HotSpot unsecured Network SID showing as available on my network. (It must be hosted on my Panoramic Server .... If I power off the server, the HotSpot disappears).
Has anyone else noticed a change?
Log on to Cox, and turn the Hotspot on, wait a couple of minutes, and then turn it back off, that should address the issue.
Just an fyi though, if the hotspot is on, no one can use it to access YOUR devices, as it's on a different network than you are, also, the hotspot is throttled, so that you are ensured to get your full speeds, whether or not someone is on the hotspot or not. Most people leave it on, because they realize, if something happens, the modem shorts out, or the cable to your home gets cut while you are gardening, you can access your neighbor's pano hotspot and you maintain internet until yours is repaired. That means the vice versa is also true.
