Tivo Tuning adapters and media cards
Anyone else having a problem with Cox and Tivo tuning adapters and media cards? My problem has been going on for 3 weeks now after Cox admitted they did something called a signal sp,it upgrade in my development. I have two Tivo units that have not worked for 3 weeks now and absolutely nobody at Cox knows how to address the issue after several tech visits and service escalations. Now, I am having a problem with them getting back to me pertaining to the issue after learning that they have closed the ticket, which was not resolved on Monday. I have television (3 cable boxes and 2 tivos), Telephone, and 900 gig internet for 17 years here in Las Vegas. I am extremely disappointed in the customer support and am considering cancellation of all my services. I’ve been waiting for a return phone call pertaining to the status of the problem after lodging a formal complaint on Monday morning….now it is Wednesday. I have a TiVO Bolt and last fall the tuning adapter stopped working. I contacted support at the time and was instructed to replace the tuning adapter, which I did. This did not resolve the issue. I mostly use the tuning adapter to watch NFL Red Zone during football season, so it dropped off my to-do list but was never resolved. Now that football is happening, I started working again to resolve this issue and once again replaced my tuning adapter without success. I checked my cables and they all work. When I go to the diagnostic menu on the TiVO, it says the tuning adapter is initializing. It has been stuck initializing for days. Reached out to Cox Support and they haven’t resolved this after several calls. I saw on a Reddit forum post on this issue that it is common and the result of an issue at the headend and not the subscribers equipment. If anyone from Cox is seeing this, I’d appreciate a response and to level with me on whether or not this is a headend issue. I am paying for a service I can’t use, so I am very frustrated.575Views0likes1CommentTivo Bolt v53 error

This problem with the Tivo Bolt having full access to VOD continues from 2 yrs and 3 months ago. I am having issues identical to those described in the posts (links below) for the last 10 days. In addition to getting V205 when selecting a program from My Shows, when I select a program I should have access to, within VOD, it either says I need to upgrade my subscription or simply plays the 90 second preview instead of the actual program. All the usual has been done including re-pairing the cards and eventually a technician replaced the cable cards to no avail. I am flabbergasted that despite this issue being elevated to tier 2, and a ticket being generated, the knowledge base available to the technicians do not reveal that this is a known problem or what v205 means. So I alerted the tier 2 manager about these posts, but she, not knowing what else to try, suggested that I use the forum to seek resolution. It was a good idea, but it is also frustrating that this is what it takes. Although it's a server problem, the posts don't actually specify what the fix was so I couldn't share it with the folks that I've been dealing with. I sure hope someone moderating this forum, perhaps Becky who handled the post from 3 months ago, can intervene and restore my access to VOD. http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/tv_forum/f/tv-forum/21725/cable-video-on-demand-temporarily-unavailable-v205-408-with-tivo-bolt http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/tv_forum/f/tv-forum/16709/cox-on-demand-is-down-for-all-tivo-users-nation-wide3.1KViews1like4CommentsCable Video On Demand Temporarily Unavailable V205 (408) with Tivo Bolt
For many days now I have been unable to watch any VOD, I get this error: Cable Video On Demand Temporarily Unavailable V205 with 408 in the corner. Doesn't matter which show. I finally called tech support, they rolled a unit and checked all of my connections. We spent hours, some of it on the phone with Tivo. We replaced the cable card. Now the ticket is escalated to the back office and I am awaiting a resolution. Tivo says that it's not their problem because I'm able to browse and select shows, the problem arises when the app tries to retrieve the show from a server. Is anyone else with a Tivo Bolt having this problem or am I the only one? I have to think this is global. There are threads about a similar thing from 2 years ago, but nothing recent.7KViews0likes7CommentsTivo Bolt cable card fail
I spent all day trying to pair a cablecard with my tivo bolt. No luck. Tried two different cards, with two different tuning adapters. Talked to 4 people online for over 3 hours. Is there anyone at Cox who has actual experience with these issues? The bolt worked with Comcast/xfinity. But with Cox I am batting zero.1.6KViews0likes2Comments
