Can't delete port forward with Panoramic Wifi App.
As the title says. For some reason, I can not delete any of my port forwards with the Panoramic Wifi App. And I can't go tohttps://wifi.cox.com/network/advanced-settingsto do it there cause for some stupid reason they put it to where it shows where you can download the app and they removed the feature of port forwarding from the router site that's connected to the IP address. If anyone can help me and tell me why they made if I have to be really blunt here, these stupid decisions that just make it more difficult.722Views0likes4CommentsUnable to create or edit existing port forwards (Panoramic Router)
I am currently unable to to modify or create new port forward on my Cox Panoramic Router. I have been able to make them in the past, without any issues at all. However for the last few months, when I attempt to make/edit an existing port forward I get a error saying message saying "We're having some trouble - Please try again. If the problem persist, check back later". (Screenshot:https://www.screencast.com/t/PmLOGrVKFE) I've tried the following steps to attempt to resolve this: Restarted Gateway (duh) Cleared cache and cookies as well as attempt port forwards from 3 different desktop computers - same error Installed the "Cox Wifi App" on my phone (with wifi turned off) to remote manage gateway setting - same error (rules out a device or network issue) Factory reset the Gateway - Obviously this cleared my old port forwards as well as everything else, forcing me to manually re-configured my network... but I am still unable to create a new port forward (same error) At this point I am convinced it must be something with either the gateway itself, or a recent update changed something on Cox side with the remote management tool works. Has anyone else had this issue? Surely I can't be alone here!580Views0likes0CommentsPort Forward Issue
I have opened a port for gaming purposes then removed the port because I didn't choose the correct range. Once I tried to reopen the port with the correct ranges I am getting this error "This port is already in use for X using the IP address X. If you'd like to re-assign to a different device, you'll need to delete this port forward first." On the front-end I do not see any ports, I have deleted all. Maybe it takes time to remove on the back-end, or it's cached? Not too sure. - Donray Williams1.1KViews0likes0CommentsPort Forwarding
So I have read the many forums here and tried all the solution, however my seems to not work still. I have advance security off, I restarted my router, and I am using my desktop IP address. I am trying to run agameserver. It says the port has been set up and everything looks good on wifi.cox.com , but I checked on port checker sites and had someone try to connect to my server, but it won't work. )=818Views0likes0CommentsUnable to add new port forward - stuck on "Adding Port Forward"
I've been trying to add a new port forward and it's constantly stuck on "Adding Port Forward." I have also heard about disabling "Advanced Security," but I can't find a way to disable it. Previously, it was as simple as logging into the default gateway in my browser and going to Advanced > Port Forwarding, however, they have since changed it and made it even more stupid. The new "wifi.cox.com" site doesn't even let me click anything to navigate and I have to open a new tab each time I was to visit a different page - yes, I have tried using numerous other browsers to no avail. Anyway, I've navigated to the "Port Forwarding" section and filled out all of the details of the port forward and I get this seemingly forever: Any help on how to fix this would be really appreciated.Solved3.3KViews2likes8CommentsPort Forwarding through two routers
Hi, I have been trying to port forward for the past 3 days now, trying to make a Minecraft server and I've been having some trouble. The port is 25565, and I have two different routers that I have been trying to port forward through. My main router is the panoramic router/modem. That is what runs everything, and then I also have a second one, its a netgear router. First, I didn't know the password for the netgear router so i factory reset it so it's just the admin username and password. I went into the advanced tab -> port forwarding and added the port to the device and ip. Then I realized that the port was still closed so I searched it up and saw something about allowing the port through the firewall so I allowed it through the firewall and even turned it off after to make sure that it wouldn't have an issue. And then I saw something about having two routers and needing to allow it through both of them. So i sign into my cox router and click the port forwarding tab and it brought me to cox.com with all my profile settings and everything. I go into network -> gateway -> advanced settings -> port forwarding and i click add port. Then i realize i have to select the device and im assuming that i have to click my router so i click netgear device and allow the port through (25565) and I check on it again and its not going through. then I looked for my computer and it's not listed so i just click on the "generic brand windows pc/laptop" and let the port through and still nothing. I also disabled my advanced security and I did this all before i port forwarded anything. Is there any way I can allow ports through a specific ip address and not a specific device because i feel like thats the problem but im not really sure im new to this stuff. I don't know what is blocking the port and need help.645Views0likes0CommentsPort Forwarding Defaults to Random IP
While it is beyond me that cox has forced me to use this buggy and weird wifi.cox thing, here I am in this situation. I have an ethernet connected Desktop which needs to be portforwarded on several ports (the interface forces me to delete ALL ports to make a change, that **, but isn't my issue). I should have a reserved ip address lets just say on 192.168.my.ip (shown like this for security reasons), the update has forced it to a DHCP 192.168.my.ip, and every time I try to change it, it does nothing. Still not the main issue. When I go to port forward, it asks for the device, I click the device, fill in the info, and hey look, it changes to 192.168.0.2 instead of 192.168.my.ip, and says that there is no device on that, there isn't... Yet I check my device, and it is shown as being 192.168.my.ip. This has completely crippled all of the services on my computer, and me being annoyed is an understatement.1.1KViews0likes3CommentsPort forwarding
