Phone Tools issues
I received a criminal harassment telemarketer call a half hour ago and the call did not log into Phone Tools. I've concurrently been experiencing issues logging in to PT- a couple times being taken to a page that is selling Phone Tools (Stay on top of your calls with phone tools) and offers links for me to "learn more" or "order now".. Just now got another criminal harassment call (IRS filing suit scam) and will see if that logged). Edit- cannot log in at all. Apparently my account not longer has this feature. Are the servers down? Is there maintenance being performed? Inquiring minds want to know. Edit 2: Finally got in... and both calls showed. There are apparently issues with something at Cox. For about 2.5 years on the monthly statement and through telephone tools online there has been no indication of telephone call duration. Cox must be the only "telecommunications provider" in the world that doesn't provide this information. Those of us who are consultants bill for telephone call duration. Without time, the telephone bill and online tool is pretty useless. 1 year ago I called every month for a year and spoke with supervisor after supervisor who assured me they were working on this. Yet, here it is still not provided. I see other posts requesting this. Why should customers have to repeatedly request a basic service such as telephone call duration? I have enjoyed and benefited from the Cox Phone Tools Call History for a long while. Now, when I try to open it to view recent calls I'm faced with a "We've created a better experience but we'll need to update your browser first" followed by icons of several browsers, but not the one I use called Pale Moon (a variation of Firefox). At that point I'm stuck...can't access the Phone Tools, can't 'update' my own browser...completely foiled. What's going on with that? Why did Cox techs choose to list a few of the many browsers for 'updating' and thus deny all other browsers access to the Phone Tools site? Seems that if any and all browsers need to be 'updated' to enjoy the "better experience" that Cox would have listed one and all for the Cox prescribed update. I did chat on "Phone Tools Support" with Gabriel G who informed me that if I needed copies of my call history beyond the 120 day limit allowed on the site I would have to go to the Cox Store. In addition he wrote "You will also need a legal judge order so they can provide you with this information." I need copies of my records from period 9 month prior--and he is saying I need a court order to obtain them?? Please tell me this is not accurate and correct information. I requested a call log at my local Cox retail store on 2/4/16. What is the status? I was told that somebody would contact me within 7-10 business days. The Phone Call Log shows what time, date, who I called but does NOT TELL ME THE DURATION OF THE PHONE CALLS. SINCE I AM RESTRICTED FOR A HALF HOUR OF CALLS A MONTH, I REALLY NEED TO KNOW THE DURATION. I already had problems being overcharged and if I GO OVER THE HALF HOUR LIMIT A MONTH, THEY CHARGE ME .50 A MINUTE. IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE CUSTOMER SO THEY CAN PROVE THEY WERE NOT OVER THE LIMIT BECAUSE IT PURPOSELY FAILS TO SHOW YOU THE DURATION OF ALL CALLS GOING OUT. I NEED HELP WITH THIS REALLY BAD. THEN THEY CHARGED ME MORE PHONE USAGE FEES UNDER ANOTHER USAGE FEE, WHICH I AM BEING CHARGED MORE THAN DOUBLE.3.7KViews1like2Comments
