Moving to fiber

I am moving my location to a home that has fiber.

The ONT and the panoramic gateway are pre-installed.

How do I use my own router instead of the one prided by Cox with the Gateway box?

Thank you!

Disconnect ethernet going from ONT to gateway and plug in your own router. See here for official support. Then bring back the gateway to your local Cox store and make sure to get a receipt. Welcome to the fiber club!

BTW, I assume you don't have Wireless boxes, cloud DVR or Cox Homelife, all which require the gateway.

Make sure you contact Cox tech support and have them remove the pano modem from the account, and then you can return it. If you don't they will be charging you a monthly rental fee for it.

The front counter reps can't do a item check in? Many won't remove the gateway from the account until it is returned, thus the Cox store.
