Wall mount tv

I’m looking to mount my tv to the wall and put my receiver behind the tv so no wires or receivers are showing. My question is will the contour 2 remote work even if the receiver is not visible?

It depends if the remote is RF or IR.  What's it make/model?

If you have a coaxial cable-box, you'll need 2 connections behind the TV:  coax and AC.

Cox has wireless HDMI receivers but you'll need to also rent their Panoramic router.

If you don't want to rent the Pano, there are wireless HDMI kits available.  Question then becomes will Contour negotiate DRM through the kit.

I’m planning on upgrading my receiver anyway to the coutoer 2 what type of remotes do those use?

If you're not having any problems now...don't go looking for 'em.  Contour-2 is bloated with nonsense and easily errs.  For the past week, after I press a button, it takes about a minute to process.  I'm figuring lots of latency on Cox's TV distribution system.  It's just silly.
