signed into watchtv.cox.com just fine, but can't find what i was looking for. which is a full replay of the men's short program skate. that site seems to be all about current stuff.
got verified just fine on my ipad mini for the replay segment, but...it's a first gen (before there WERE "gens") and it doesn't have room to run. it keeps reloading.
so i guess i'm just out of luck.
i appreciate the suggestions tho.
oh my. it's been so long since i booted into that that i don't even have the correct ios! i was told that their computers were golden & that's why i got this! there's a volunteer thing i do that requires a windows based software. it would take me a while to get up & running there.
BUT here's my incentive to go there! which i've been saying i'd do for years.
i don't understand why i can "buy" 30 mins of time to view a stream on ios, but it fails in chrome & i.e.
cox really needs to to consider more options when they integrate themselves on all things. email has presented these same challenges. it works under "x" conditions, but not under "y" conditions. there are lots of combinations & permutations of operating system & browser & mail clients. cox tends to cut corners & not test them all.
my last post on another thread for cox.net or .com login was met with a "we are not aware of a chrome issue." and yet...i gave the proof!
i don't know what to tell you colleen. my chrome updated last tuesday and there are no updates out there. i just updated win7 2 days ago.
it makes no sense that anything on my desktop would be in non-compliance when my at least 10 year old ipad mini is good.except for space.
last time i could not get into 'my profile," after logging in to cox.com. it worked on i.e. but not chrome. again...cox (allan) said that could not be.
but it was...and IS!
as i've told you before...don't be so defensive. i've tried to be nice here. after 7 months of frustration with email you can't know how hard that is for me. i want to scream! and just finding out my bill for all this frustration is going up $11/mo...we are retired & living off 'the fat of the land" pretty much. social security went up about $2 ea, after medicare increases. but i know you guys don't get a 'cheat sheet," so i'm trying to be nicer here.
nothing to apologize for.
my husband is one of the many still dealing with the constant pop up for password in his outlook that has plagued email users for months now. cox moderators say it's a microsoft problem. microsoft says it's a cox problem. but again...it's probably the interface of the two.
in order to get my password reset i had to reset my browser defaults just a few weeks ago. i've only tweaked one or two of them back. i'll try turning off my virus protection...tho i'm not sure how. i use microsoft security essentials. i thought it was "on" if it was there? only have one or two other extensions enabled. keep my computer pretty simple & have found i don't need a bunch.
socal transplant,
Please let me know how it works out. Since you were able to get signed in on your iPad it suggests there's not an authentication issue. Perhaps advanced tech support covered by subscribing to Cox Complete Care would be the next option to try. http://bit.ly/CoxCompleteCare
ok. i turned off (and now have turned back on!) both microsoft security essentials AND malwarebytes. i disabled all my extensions, emptied cache & cookies again and no luck.
this isn't important enough to spend $10/mo on. i'm over it. i'll start a fund for a new ipad with more storage!
