Picture freezes

Why does the picture freeze on my DVR recordings?  Is it because the weather is turning colder and Cox equipment is being affected?  Pressing stop and then start sometimes moves the recording ahead past the problem.  Usually, it goes to a message stating it appears I have completed watching the program and shows the Delete or Don't Delete.  Hit Don't Delete, go to Watch, and fast forward to a few seconds past the problem works but it takes forever to watch a program.   Sometimes, it wants to reset so, of course, that takes even longer for it to reboot.  Help!!!

    I've had the same problems for months with the DVR recordings. It gets pixelated, it loses sound while The recording keeps going. It's freezing. You cant fast forward Because when it hits the glitch it takes it all the way through the show and asks you if you want to delete it so I'm just watching it through the commercials now.  Even watching live shows there's pixilation and loses sound. Pay too much for this poor service. Seriously Thinking of dropping cable services
