What is the limit of emails that you can block?

When trying to block spam emails, I am told that I have exceeded the number and must delete some.  Doesn't that defeat the purpose of blocking.  If I delete some then they can continue to fill my email box with emails I don't want.

It sounds like you may be using the block sender's feature to try and control spam. This method typically isn't effective as how spammers often forge or change the address they're sending from to try and defeat recipient's block sender's feature. The better option would be to use the mark as spam feature in webmail which submits these items to request they be included in the spam blocking engine.

One forum member said that he ran into this problem at 150 blocks. Cox does not publish a number.
