What plan do you subscriber? Cox lowered the uploads on certain plans to get you to pay more for their higher plans.

Cox hasn't lowered the upload speeds to get you to pay more, that is inaccurate.

it feels like that some times. cause they dont seem to care about people that would rather have more upload. hell i would rather have 100mbps upload and they can drop that so called 1 gig to 500 and ill pay the same price.. lmao

i have there highest plan and just the past day or so. my upload speed drops to .3 mbps on just about any speed test site i try. same thing seems to happen every year..

I am sorry that you have experienced speed and internet issues recently. I have provided some steps that you can take to help diagnose and resolve the speed issues on your thread at forums.cox.com/.../why-does-it-seem-cox-does-not-care-about-upload-speeds. Please let us know how it goes.

Are you testing using ethernet or WiFi? What modem/router are you using? Are you really on the 2 Gbps plan which is the highest plan?
