I think what you see on the page depends if you have a Panoramic on your account. You could log out of Cox and click the link to see the Ookla option.
I wouldn't download an app just for a speed test. Besides, you should be testing from a variety of sites and not just Cox. Cox just wants you to download their app.

I did try Edge and it showed the same contents. I also scrolled further down the page, and (just like Firefox) it didn't show anything useful or anything that pertains to running ".. a Ookla test".

At least that shows the chat option, which Firefox wasn't showing. I would suggest using Speedtest.net and then click on "Change server" and pick the closest Cox server. For more accurate results, you can download the windows app.
