DO NOT ADD A DATA PACKAGE. I did this for the same reason and I've been on the phone for 30 minutes, currently on hold, JUST to remove it.
What have they done in the last 30 minutes? Try to upsell me on a higher package and phone service when I politely and clearly stated TWICE that my only concern was the package I was no longer needing since I do not go over with data.
I'm wanting to cancel now because of the constant outages and poor customer service.
**Also, you CANNOT remove the add-on online, you have to call customer service.
