Well, POP.COX.NET is still down for me (when I try to receive email it merely says "pop.cox.net connected" and then hangs) and Windows Live Mail is no longer available and no reply from Mr. Len Barlik (not that I was expecting any) so switching to IMAP.COX.NET seemed like the only option left for me but although websites like
https://www.getmailbird.com/setup/access-cox-net-via-imap-smtp
https://clean.email/blog/email-settings/cox-email-settings
make switching to IMAP sound so simple, after several attempts to set up an IMAP account with T-Bird's elaborate and confusing Wizard, nothing worked. I wish it would have a single form that one could fill with all the required information and press a button.
So I am making do with Webmail for now but its biggest drawback is there is no simple way to monitor multiple accounts without manual logon and logoff for every account whereas with Thunderbird I could download mail from all accounts with a single click.
Is there any alternative to Thunderbird that is more straightforward to use and can setup IMAP accounts and is compatible with Windows 7?
