Mail server “pop.cox.net” is not responding on my iPhone. It responds on my iPad only.

can’t get Cox email on my iPhone.  But I can get it on my iPad. It says at bottom of mail app, The mail server pop.cox.net is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct acct info in mail settings.
