not connected to Cox Net?

i used the speed test on the cox website (https://www.cox.com/internet/speedcheck.cox) while logged in to my account and why does my result say i'm not connected to Cox Net -- https://i.imgur.com/lVKFyNg.png ?

the description says Cox Net "Indicates whether or not you are connected to the Internet using Cox High Speed Internet" but i am a cox high speed internet user and i'm using cox internet at home right now when i did the speed test -- https://i.imgur.com/wmA9Ce7.png

if i check my past results, all of them say "Yes". should i just ignore it or is there something else going on here?

    Performing the speed tests on cox.com while signed in with your Cox username and password will save results. I replicate the Cox Net 'No' results when I perform a speed test while signed into cox.com and not connected to my In-Home WiFi network, but still connected to the Cox network. Are you home and performing the speed test while connected to your In-Home WiFi network, or on a hardwired device to your WiFi Modem when you're seeing this result?

    i'm connected to a modem (motorola surfboard 6141) that is connected to a router (medialink) when i did the speed test at home.

    are you saying that the reason why it's saying "No" is because i'm not directly connected to my modem? i wish i could run the test again without using the router but i don't know how to switch the cables around at the back lol.

    just wondering whether the "No" thing is a big deal or not because during the past month or so, my download speeds have been poor -- https://i.imgur.com/pJlnfYL.png

    previously, my download speeds have all been 90 Mbps and up -- https://i.imgur.com/aHKNib7.png

    sometime around mid-december 2017 up to now, my download speeds have been all over the place.

    The most accurate speed test results would be those that are hardwired to the modem. Changing from a wireless to wired connection wouldn't affect the result of the Cox Net status to show Yes or No. Is the speed loss intermittent, or always slow?
