All the sudden cox decided to throttle down my download and upload speed. I've been with cox since 2009 and I always received the advertised speed and some more.
Cox is that your way of thanking your loyal customer ????
If you continue on this path then you are going to lose more customers.
Did they actually change your modem provisioning? Much more likely to be a problem with wiring or with the network. Post your signals and modem event logs.
That only applies to upload speeds and is only being used in very rare circumstances. Much more likely to be a problem your wiring or with the Cox network. Check signal levels and modem logs as a starting point.
Happened to me as well. I noticed a slow down I called. I was informed that my internet was slowed down (duh) and when I asked why, they couldn’t give me a straight answer. Perhaps it’s done to see if customers will notice? Regardless this entire company is a scam. 1-844-227-3943 Is the phone number to cancel in case you’re ready to pull the trigger.
