4 days no service
We hadn’t issues with Cox. Until that last 3 months. Internet has been up and down. Which usually be resolved by restarting everything. However this passed Thursday it was really bad. Which led to Friday no Internet all day. We messaged and was scheduled 2 days away for a tech to come out. I was frustrated because that means I am unable to work. No phones no tv no door bells no electronics. Here we are excited and waiting for the tech and he never showed up. So the appointment was cancelled because they said we weren’t home. Then come to find out they called. Well guess what no Internet no phones. The tech never knocked on the door which he would have seen was cracked open. I contact support to then be told additional charges will apply which is a joke. That we have to pay for a tech, my bill for service/days we haven’t been able to use and we are missing work because we work home. Cox really proved to have poor service and customer service within one incident. So now 4 days with nothing working due to no internet. We have a 2 year old and teenagers. Thanks a lot Cox.46Views0likes1CommentRoommate Account - Netgear CM1000 not passing internet through to Netgear RAX80
Account: 150mbps connection on new, secondary "Roommate Account". Main account is Gigablast and is working fine with Panoramic router. This question is in reference to the new, secondary "Roommate Account". Hardware both new with latest firmware: Netgear CM1000 Modem Netgear RAX80 WIFI Router Problem: The CM1000 modem is connected with a short ethernet cable to a RAX80 WIFI router. Despite being hard connected to the CM1000 no internet is available on the RAX80 router. A second RAX80 was connected to the CM1000 and there was still no internet through the router. HOWEVER internet is available through the CM1000 if an ethernet cable is plugged directly into it directly from a laptop. So basically CM1000 >> RAX80 >> No internet CM1000 >> Laptop >> Internetworks Could this be the roommate account? Is it treated differently? I've been through Netgear tech support on the RAX80, tried a second RAX80 and it still wouldn't connect. So that narrows it down to the CM1000 and the Roommate Account. The CM1000is a bridge router with no settings.8.6KViews0likes10CommentsRestart modem several times a day
Does anyone have any suggestions for frequent internet connection drops? I lose internet connection several times a day. Sometimes it comes back after a few minutes and other times nothing works except unplugging the modem. The modem reset in the modem administration does not work. My computer(s) tell me my system is/are configured properly and that there is a problem with the access point. Windows 10 can fix it occasionally but most times I have to unplug the modem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks2.3KViews0likes4CommentsConnected but no internet
Hello, I paid for Cox internet service on May 12th and I called the same day to activate my own modem (Arris Surfboard SB6141) and they said it was added to my account and then they set me up for an appointment the next day (Saturday) for a tech to come over and activate the coaxial ports on the walls. Well he came over and activated the ports and said that the router was stuck in some sort of loop and left and said that Cox should send some signal in 24-48 hours to fix it. Well nothing happened and I still can't connect. So another tech came over today and said the problem is that the router (TP-Link TL-WR940N) is not activated with TP Link and I should call them, he then left. So I did that and they said it is fine and it is communicating with the modem but there is no internet coming through. I just don't know what the problem is and I feel like everybody else doesn't know either.Solved4.2KViews0likes2CommentsMy modem router is not working, why?
I did not use my computer (the laptop is the only one I have) for two weeks while on vacation. Upon my return, it cannot get into the internet because "I am not connected to the Internet" (even if the little antenna is live and well.) I have done the turn every-thing-off, started in order and it works immediately, after few minutes, it says again that I am disconnected. This is an almost new (one year?) router. What is happening? I am paying for a service that I cannot use. I appreciate your help, or should I call AT&T? :)2.7KViews0likes2Comments
