Connected but no internet
Hello, I paid for Cox internet service on May 12th and I called the same day to activate my own modem (Arris Surfboard SB6141) and they said it was added to my account and then they set me up for an appointment the next day (Saturday) for a tech to come over and activate the coaxial ports on the walls. Well he came over and activated the ports and said that the router was stuck in some sort of loop and left and said that Cox should send some signal in 24-48 hours to fix it. Well nothing happened and I still can't connect. So another tech came over today and said the problem is that the router (TP-Link TL-WR940N) is not activated with TP Link and I should call them, he then left. So I did that and they said it is fine and it is communicating with the modem but there is no internet coming through.
I just don't know what the problem is and I feel like everybody else doesn't know either.
