New Technicolor CGM4331COM Gateway for Cox / Wi-Fi 6 Gateway
I've seen a new Technicolor CGM4331COM gateway mentioned for Xfinity (link below). Does anyone know whether this hardware will also be adopted by Cox in the near future? It seems like Xfinity has already started rolling this new equipment out to customers. Or is there any other updated gateway on the horizon for Cox? To me the Cox network seems to have some serious deficiencies with IPv6. I've seen some evidence that the current CGM4141 gateway may be part of the issue (I see many "FW.IPv6 FORWARD drops" and "FW.IPv6 INPUT drops" that coincide with my spotty internet performance). Coxshould have a new gateway in the works that mitigates this. I imagine they'll need to put out something with Wi-Fi 6 by the end of 2020. While Wi-Fi 6 isn't my main interest, I'm hoping they'll use this as an opportunityto correct the issues with IPv6 and the firewall. Anyone heard anything? https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r32469291-Equip-XB7-Technicolor-CGM4331COM-Arris-TG4482-Wireless-AX-Wi-Fi-69.4KViews0likes3CommentsIPv6?
i have the Cisco DPQ3212 modem, which is a docsis 3.0 modem, connecting to a Netgear AC 1750 router, model number R6700v2. I have configured the router to use IPv6, but an IPv6 test site says I am not receiving an IPv6 signal. I have gone through numerous questions on the Cox forums, and they all say that Cox is providing IPv6 service now, so I'm looking for possible problems and solutions. For example, does the modem need to be configured; does it need a firmware update; do I need a newer modem, etc? Looking for help on getting the most out of my Cox internet.3.8KViews0likes6CommentsCox IPv6 San Diego
Does Cox have IPv6 rolled out in San Diego?Running https://test-ipv6.com/ on Firefox and Chrome shows No IPv6 address detected. Changed Firefox "network.dns.disableIPv6". value to "True" and can't find a way to set Chrome forIPv6 It does sayyour browser has a real working IPv6 address. The question i have has Cox rolled out IPv6, and if so,how can I get Firefox and Chrome to useIPv6. OK, so my connection for while has been super unstable. its been going on for 3 months and the problem hasn't got away. My connection would out of nowhere stop and then continue again. I've already tried to restart my modem even tho just a few days ago I upgraded to the gigablast connection and I have had cox doing troubleshoots which would fix it for a bit but it would just start all over again. Also when it disconnects it would show that IPv6 is disconnect and rarely it would also show that IPv4 is not connected. I would really like to know what's happening because I can't go on for 5 minutes without the internet just disconnecting for 2-10 seconds. My desktop is also connected via ethernet cable and the rest are wireless.2.3KViews0likes1CommentNo IPv6 support on business internet account? Say what!?

Hello Everyone :) I have a fiber to the home with Gigablast and have a Nokia ONT. I've been trying to receive an IPv6 prefix to be assigned to my router by requesting a /64 however to date, I have been unsuccessfull. Three years ago, Dustin/Cox stated that prefix delegation was only working under DOCSIS modems and not under PON circuits: https://forums.cox.com/discussions/internet/when-will-ipv6-work-with-fiber-to-the-home-under-gigablast/121392 Is IPv6 prefix delegation still unsupported on PON circuits or is it now supported?
